- I discovered that traditional Filipino composers possess their unique genres
and maintain their own traditional culture. The majority of Filipino
musicians produce songs involving romance because they perceive that many
listeners would empathize with such. Composers use music to represent the
society they lived in at the moment. Filipino traditional composers likewise
enlighten us more pertaining to the background and way of life of our
homeland than we've known today.

3. The traditional composer that I like is ___________________________because

- Levi Celerio is a traditional composer whom I really admire due to his skill
to produce music by blowing a leaf. He also created "Ang Pasko ay
Sumapit," which has become a staple of Christmas carols in the Country.
I've been chanting it ever since I was a small kid. He is a remarkable artist
since his compositions reflect Filipino identity. He also developed a famous
degree of songs for films made, which contributed to receiving the Film
Academy of the Philippines Lifetime Achievement Award.

4. What lesson can you learn from the life of each of the Filipino contemporary composers?
- I suppose I've learned that the musical industry is accepting among all
people. It was clearly proved how Filipino songwriters were able to escape
hardship through using rhythm and melody to convey their unusual
experiences. When it comes to music, every person has a different beginning
point, but I can assure you that songwriting draws people closer. We may not
be skilled composers, yet upon hearing a song written by a person who lives
in our country, we will be motivated to use our ingenuity and keep
discovering further about music.
