Industry Exposure and Internship Report


Evaluation Guidelines
For
Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM)
Criteria of Industrial Exposure
1. Bachelor of Hotel Management comprises of four years (eight semesters) including industrial
exposure.
2. The Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) course focuses on the development of theoretical
knowledge and practical skills that are very important to develop the career in the hospitality
industry.
3. The course aims to acquire basic technical and social skills required for professional handling
of hotel and catering operations.
4. There is a compulsory industrial exposure module in seventh (7th) & eight (8th) semesters of
course on the program which carries twelve (12) credit hours in total.
5. The students must complete at least forty (40) weeks industrial exposure fully.
6. The seventh semester (INT 396) eight semester (INT 397) industrial exposures will be
evaluated based on the performance of students at their working place observation and
evaluation by hotel’s supervisor or managers.
7. The organizational evaluation shall be made by hotel supervisor or manager and student log
book should be approved by immediate supervisor or manager. The Evaluation Form and
Student logbook will be submitted to the college.
8. All students must obtain minimum “C” grade standard set by the college in each module to be
eligible for the award of the degree of Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM).
9. The organizational evaluation shall have the weight of 80 percent while internship report shall
have 20 percent weight of total.
10. In the eight semester’s industrial exposure, students will prepare Internship Report in the
standard format (APA format) as provided by the university which should be prepared
accordingly and submitted to the college.
