2. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course provides offers a foundation of concepts and solutions that support
planning, scheduling, controlling, resource allocation et performance measurement
activities required for successful completion of a project. It emphasizes the
international dimension of a project throughout case studies. The different skills and
tools necessary to successfully manage projects from start to finish will be presented.

3. EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES


On completion of this course, the students should be able to:
* Knowledge
(1) Understand the content of a project and project management; Apply
different models to select a project;
(2) Explain project organization;
(3) Produce a project plan (Action plan, WBS, cost estimation, scheduling
and resource allocation);
(4) Discuss the implementation, the monitoring and the controlling of a
project;
(5) Evaluate a project when it is completed;

(6) Understand the situation of management of some real international
projects.
* Skills
(7) Discover and solve problems issued in international project: Skills to
build a plan, arrange works, set the goal, estimate the cost and budget, lead
the meetings.
(8) Apply the knowledge to solve real problems (to select projects, modify
the project plan, risk management. New and updated tools are provided to
students to manage project (Microsoft Project software, Chrystal Ball, …);
(9) Active skills (lifelong learning and self-study skills, flexible time
management, adapting to the complexity of reality, cultural understanding,
understanding and analyzing knowledge - skills of another individual for
lifelong learning ...);
(10) Team work skills;
(11) Leadership skills (controlling, assigning and evaluating group
activities, developing and maintaining relationships with partners; ability to
negotiate, persuade and decide on the platform being socially responsible
and obeying the law);

(12) Understanding the business ethics, being able to protect your
reputation;
(13) Be socially responsible and obey the law, support and protect the right,
Respect, encourage and practice creative thinking and innovation;
(14) Have a serious attitude towards work through compliance with general
regulations;

collectives.

2) Group and individual assignments


- Meet the deadline
- Maximum word count is 2000 words for the assignment
- Plagiarism in the assignment both directly or indirectly is strictly prohibited
- Formatting: A4 paper, Time New Roman, Line spacing:1.5 lines. There must be the
cover page covering the topic, name of the team student. The assignment must contain
an abstract, and a table of contents. At least 10 references using APA system of
bibliography is required.
