GMC HUMMER EV Platform

GMC HUMMER EV is a highly adaptive and modern vehicle that delivers
enhanced capabilities while offering the versatility to be used in military
applications on installations or garrison environments.
The GMC HUMMER EV is the first vehicle on GM’s Ultium Platform, a
game-changing electric vehicle (EV) platform built on a combined EV
architecture and propulsion system that can deliver power, range and
scale beyond any previous GM hybrid or extended range EV technology.
By using digital design and engineering, and instituting advanced
manufacturing capabilities, the GMC HUMMER EV was one of the fast-
est vehicle development programs in GM’s recent history, from kickoff
to production.
Combining robust off-road capabilities with near silent operations, the
GMC HUMMER EV can be used across complex terrain to support
military operations for military police, VIP transportation, logistics
support or within training environments.
PERFORMANCE & TECHNOLOGY
• Includes three-motor e4WD propulsion system
• Propels the HUMMER EV to reach 0-60 MPH in approximately 3 seconds
(GM estimate)
• 1,000 hp and 11,500 lb. ft. of torque (GM estimate)
• 18 camera views with capability to climb 60-percent grades (forward and
reverse), scale 18-inch verticals and ford water more than two feet deep
• GM-estimated Final Combined Driving Range of 329 miles

The U.S. Army selected GM Defense to provide the GMC HUMMER EV

Pickup for analysis and demonstration to help support the Army’s
reduced reliance on fossil fuels in operational and garrison environments.

The Army’s evaluation and testing of the vehicle and Ultium Platform
will help inform requirements for future electrification programs in
support of a pathway to a more electric, connected and autonomous
future.
