Feeling Myself

Ciao! I am Lenie Rose B. Tabor, 21 and alive. I currently live with my mother and brother in
Corrales, Jimenez, Misamis Occidental. I am a third-year college student of Bachelor of Arts in
English Language Studies. I am currently pursuing this program as my first degree to enter Law
School, when and if God permits. I’d say I am in the habit of submitting myself to the endless
cycle of waking up, attending classes, answering modules, eating, surfing the Internet, and sleep
—unhealthy, I know. The pandemic brought me here, partly but mostly because of my
decisions.
I think everything that happens to us, to me, is highly because of the choices, decisions, and
actions we have taken over the things that are thrown to us. I believe that no matter how good
or bad things happen to us, what happens next is always up to us. I cannot control what happens
around me, but I can control how I react and act on it. These days, I would say I am doing really
well.
Oh well, what can I say, 2021 screwed me more than 2020 ever did. The first half and in the
middle of the year, I had both mental and physical health issues that needed medical intervention
and thank the money for saving me—Mama and God too. With every challenge I faced this
year, one thing is for sure, life must be celebrated. Feel thyself ‘cause I’m feeling myself here
too.
