LESSON 15
One of the most popular things in the modern world is technology. Every
aspect of our lives today is governed by technology, including our own bodies and the
activities we once engaged in. Social media helped us both create and destroy, so we became
more dependent on it. Cyberbullying is a very real problem that today's youth must deal
with. Because they are so engrossed in the internet, students are almost always glued to
their screens, which is causing a whole new set of social issues and making them forget
about school and their education. This harassment even spills over into the classroom. As
technology has become more prevalent in classrooms, teachers now have more options for
empowering student learning. The purpose of modern education is to empower students
through the use of technology in order to help them take ownership of and responsibility for
their education.

Empowerment technology is a great idea for people like me who want to learn more,
understand more, and interact with others. It is very practical to use technology in education
because it is convenient, easy to use, and provides information more quickly. As a student, I
find that using technology helps me learn more efficiently, and empowerment technology
shows us how to use it sensibly and with good intentions.

Education is used to achieve this. In order to better understand ICT, or information

and communication technology, I've learned a lot about empowerment technology. The
World Wide Web, the internet, static and dynamic web pages, key features, the semantic
web, a number of Web 3.0 issues, mobile technologies, trends in ICT, mobile OS, how to stay
safe online, six different types of social media, internet threats, and many more were among
the topics we tackled and learned about. These lessons assist the millennial generation,
including myself, in becoming responsible enough to use technology as a tool for education.

Technology enables interaction and communication under novel conditions and with
fewer formal rules. In the classroom, students are much more engaged and active, and
teachers play a much larger role as facilitators than simply imparting information.
