Two supernumerary teeth were found near the palatal surfaces of teeth 11 and 21 based on a CBCT scan. The supernumerary teeth appear to have a palatal inclination and be partially formed with roots. Multiple teeth were found to be misaligned or unerupted, and dental decay was suspected in several teeth. Further clinical examination is recommended to correlate the radiological findings.

CBCT Impression: ………………………………….. Cone beam computed tomography non- contrast imaging study of maxillary dentoalveolar arch reveals; Presence of two supernumerary teeth are noted in relation to maxillary anterior dentoalveolar arch. Based on the overall radiological appearances, following inferences can be drawn about the respective supernumerary teeth;
The respective supernumerary teeth are situated in approximation to the
palatal surface of 11 and 21.
The respective supernumerary teeth are likely to be presenting with an
overall palatal inclination.
The respective supernumerary teeth are approximated to the nasopalatine
canal. The supernumerary tooth adjacent to 21 is likely to be mostly approximated (with the least radiological distance of about 0.5 mm).
The respective supernumerary teeth are likely to be presenting with partial
root completion. Other radiological features associated with maxillary and mandibular dentoalveolar arches (visible in the respective radiograph) are as follows;
Multiple upper and lower teeth malalignment suspected.
Calculus shadow or artefact suspected in relation to upper and lower
anterior teeth regions.
18, 28, 38 and 48 are likely to be partially formed and unerupted.
Dental decay or artefact suspected in relation to 13, 15, 16, 22, 24, 25, 26, 37, 35, and 47. (?)
Marginally deviated nasal septum suspected.
Clinicoradiological correlation is advised.
NB. Further investigations are advised if clinically indicated. End of report.
