Climates, present simple and continuos, reading comprehension and writing
Meet Timmy, a curious boy who loves learning about the climates of our planet. Today, he is exploring
the tropical rainforest. The sun shines brightly above him, and he is surrounded by exotic animals.
Everywhere he looks, vibrant flowers bloom and monkeys swing from tree to tree. The air feels warm
and humid.
Next, Timmy plans to learn about deserts. He knows that deserts are very hot during the day but can
get cold at night. In his book, he reads that camels are well adapted to this climate because they can
store water in their humps.
After that, Timmy will explore the polar regions. He understands that these areas are extremely cold
and mostly covered in ice and snow. He imagines polar bears and penguins living in these icy
environments.
Finally, Timmy dreams about visiting temperate forests in the future. He learns that these forests
have four distinct seasons and many different types of trees and animals.
