Situation How Rizal Coped/Surpassed the Challenge

Rizal experienced discrimination from his professors and classmates
Discrimination in in Ateneo because of his ethnicity and place of origin. He coped with
school this by taking private lessons to improve his Spanish and eventually
became the class emperor.

As the seventh child of his parents, Rizal was expected to follow in his
Family family's footsteps and become a farmer. However, he pursued his
expectations passion for education and writing, which led him to become a national
hero.

Rizal witnessed inequality, discrimination, and racism by Spaniards
