 -ED SPELLING RULES
Verbs eding in -e only add -d: cure - cured
Verbs sending in -y change -y to -ied: try - tried
Some short verbs ending in single vowel + a single
consonant, double the last consonant before adding
-ed: travel - travelled / stop - stopped
