URBASOLAR Group’s Presence in PV Value Chain

HIGHLIGHTS:

 In 2013, URBASOLAR partnered with ELVIA (French PCB manufacturer) and SILLIA Energie (French
PV module manufacturer) to manufacture PV modules. Two factories, a modern, highly-
automated one in Lannion, and another in Venissieux (built & developed by BOSCH and sold to
SILLIA in April 2014). URBASOLAR group PV Module production capacity = 220MW per year (No.
1 in France).

 URBASOLAR Group Services:


a. Project Development & Financing – URBASOLAR Group conducts all studies and
preliminary administration requirements of plant construction. URBASOLAR Group also
provides funding for the project (equity investments by URBASOLAR Group, raising funds
from pension funds, infrastructure, etc., negotiates loans with banks and institutional
donors) and provides legal and tax optimization services.
b. Engineering - URBASOLAR Group has complete technical control of a project’s
Engineering requirements.
c. Construction – URBASOLAR Group provides Project Management, Site Supervision,
Insurance arrangements, Quality Control and On-site Safety services during & after
construction.
d. Operation & Maintenance – URBASOLAR Group has experience in operating &
maintaining more than 350 projects with a total capacity of 100MW. The group has its
own SCADA software, developed in collaboration with CEA-INES. URBASOLAR Group’s
remote control center monitors and analyzes plant performance to provide preventive
and curative maintenance services that ensures high-level performance of the plant.
e. Research and Development – URBASOLAR Group’s R&D team provides continuous
innovation in PV technology.

 URBASOLAR Group’s first activities outside of France were in Bulgaria and Kazakhstan. The Group
now also operates in selected countries in partnership with local partners. URBASOLAR Group’s
Business Model is to propose “Packaged Solutions” tailored to market requirements, including (1)
design of PV generators, (2) Funding in partnership with international donors, (3) supply of PV
modules, and (4) construction and operation of projects.
