Title: Game-Based Learning Activity – Electric Challenge

Objective:
The objective of this game-based learning activity is to help students understand the concept of electric
circuits through an engaging and competitive game.

Materials Needed:
1. Game board or playing area (can be drawn on a whiteboard or printed)

2. Dice or spinner

3. Game tokens (one for each player or group)

4.Cards (index cards with different electrical tools and electrical materials)

5. Scoreboard or scoring system

6. Whiteboard and markers

Instructions:
1. Begin by introducing the concept of electrical tools and their importance in electrical circuits.

2. Explain the objective of the game, which is to correctly match tools to their match materials.

3. Draw or set up the game board with spaces for players to move their tokens.

4. Place the cards face down in a stack.

5. Decide the order of play (e.g., clockwise).

6. Explain the rules of the game:

a. Players take turns rolling the dice or spinning the spinner to determine how many spaces they move.

b. When a player lands on a space, they draw a card.

c. The player must correctly identify the tools of the electrical materials on the card to earn points.

d. If they answer correctly, they earn a point and keep the card. If not, they return the card to the bottom
of the stack.

e. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.

7. Start the game, allowing each player to take turns and follow the rules.

8. Encourage players to discuss and help each other understand the turns ratios.

9. Keep track of each player’s points on the scoreboard.

10. At the end of the game, announce the winner and award a small prize if desired.

11. Gather the players for a discussion about the game and the concepts they’ve learned.

12. Use the whiteboard to explain any challenging turns ratios or address questions.
13. Emphasize the importance of electric tools in practical applications.

14. Assign homework or a follow-up assignment where students research and present a real-world
application of electric circuits.

This game-based learning activity engages students in a fun and competitive way, helping them
understand electric circuits and the uses of tools. It promotes active learning, teamwork, and retention of
key concepts.
