DANCE

The oldest dance is usually thought to be the ballet, but it did not
appear until religious dances had already existed for a long time, most
specifically since prehistory. From then to now, the dance had passed
from being a way of communication to becoming a performance
where people would follow the rhyme of the music and others would
admire them; not only ballet but the modern dances that are known
today, which began to be popular as a consequence of choreographers
wanting to distance themselves from the ballet.

Nowadays, the place where people dance depends on the grade of

dedication, from the streets to the most important theater of the world.
Though everybody can do it, people who practice it professionally or
as a hobby usually go to a conservatory, where the most traditional
dances are taught, or to an academy. Although the majority of the
dances do not need anything in particular, there are some others like
ballet or tap which need a special kind of shoes to perform. However
many choreographers occasionally add external objects to make the
performance look better, mainly for competitions or special shows.

The best thing about dancing is there are no rules, it is all about
movement freedom and every person gives it their own style. Unless
it is being done for a competition, then the choreography taught by the
professor will have to be followed.

Dancing has as many benefits as any other sport. It helps to improve

people’s health, muscles, balance, memory; in addition to reducing
the stress level, dementia risk and many other things. It is the best
option for those who love music and want to improve their resistance.
