Creating an RCMS Account – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why haven’t I received my registration email yet?

Answer: RCMS Registration emails are sent from register@robustel.com and RCMS notifications are sent from
noreply@robustel.com please make sure you either whitelist the robustel.com domain or check your SPAM folder

Why do I need a Microsoft Account?

Answer: As Robustel operates a global business with the potential for data centers, and storage in multiple
locations with different jurisdictions. We made the decision that storing sensitive credentials ourselves would pose
a risk and increased workload. Instead we chose to partner with Microsoft who manage all user data & security
and simply provide Robustel with a verification ‘Token’ which we use to let you log into RCMS.

What if I don’t have a Microsoft Account?

Answer: RCMS requires a Microsoft Account to authenticate your login. If you do not have a Microsoft Account
associated with the email addressed used to register for RCMS you will be invited to create a free account when
clicking the link in your registration email

What if I lose my password?

Answer: As part of our commitment to security RCMS does not have access to your Microsoft Account password
and our support team is unable to help you recover it in the event it is lost.
To recover a lost password you will need to click Forgot my password on the Microsoft login screen or any other
Microsoft service your account is linked to.

How can I remove RCMS from my Microsoft Account?

Answer: If for any reason you want to unlink RCMS from your Microsoft account please follow the steps below:
1. Log in to https://portal.azure.com/ using your Microsoft Account
2. Click View Account
3. Under Organizations find Robustel Limited and click Leave Organization

• Administrator – An Administrator Role Type

Managing Users & Permissions – Editing Permissions

From the Roles page select the Role whose permissions you want
to edit and click the Cog Icon.
(System generated Roles can not be edited)

This opens the permissions dialogue box allowing you to select

and de-select the functions you want that role to have.

The most important distinction when creating/editing a role is

understanding what you want that Role to be able to perform. If
you want a role to be able to interact with devices in RCMS then
you must select the ‘Role Type’ as Administrator.

In the example on the right have side I have created a new role
called Finance Manager and given it the Role Type of
Administrator. This means that by default this Role can do
anything on my RCMS account.

Now I don’t want this Role to be able to Add/Remove devices on

the account, so I have completely removed this option in the
permissions.

Adding Devices in RCMS - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I add devices to RCMS in bulk?

Answer: Devices can be added in RCMS individually or in batches.
To add devices in batches click the arrow button next to the ADD button in Add/Remove devices to show the
Batch Import option. From there you can download a .xlsx template that can be populated with device information
to upload in batches.

Why is my device showing as unregistered?

Answer: The status column in the device view screen shows if a device has ever been able to successfully connect
to RCMS. If a device is Unregistered then no other information will flow to the platform. If you are sure your device
has an internet connection, check that you have configured the RCMS App correctly in the device.

Can I limit who can see my devices?

Answer: By using device groups you can limit the amount of access registered users on your account can have with
certain devices. For example if you have a specific set of devices that can only be handled by a senior employee
you can only assign that user to the group, meaning all other users can’t interact with those devices.
