In his article ‘Introduction – Entering the conversation’, Graff, Birkenstein & Dust (2021) states that a
good writing involves engaging with other people who have written or implicated things about the
similar topic, by expressing our opinions about their ideas.

Graff, Birkenstein & Dust (2021) in his article argues that a good writing is written with help of good
templates, and it should be more interactive and argumentative.

The students are provided with various resources which they can apply to start or end their paragraphs,
or they could also use it for connecting their paragraphs. It also represents how to use the given source
in various topics or instance.

The words “They Say / I say” is used a lot in the book which is provided by the explanation of authors,
‘why they have used it’. These words imply how their thought process and ideas can generally be related
to the ideas which other people might have too. Making errors like not paying attention or making it
simplified of other peoples saying is also avoided with the help of these words. The words can be applied
in various forms and methods, such as using it in main ideas, applying it in a quotation format, or simply
coming on a stand upon agreeing with some parts and disagreeing with other.

The author has been wee understood that many people may not enjoy the paraphrasing of their
sentences because it shows a very non-interactive way. The author suggests that word or sentences are
not stuck in one phase but are rather more flexible and interactive. The words implied by the author can
help many writers to help find their own way of writing or help fix their style format of writing. Authors
implies on statement that usually similar words and sentences are used by many professional writers.

The end of this starts by the authors asking the students to ‘come along with the conversation’, to see
themselves as a part of the community of people who’s writing, and speech is almost similar about the
topic mentioned. They say that sharing knowledge and information about the topic is not only a method
of writing, but it is also a path of acknowledging and getting to know about new things.

The hope of the author is to provide students with adequate information and help them to achieve more
confidence which enables them to become more recognized writers. The authors think that with their
help provided to students they can achieve way more than they were doing before, and they could make
some more addition to their conversation and make it more argumentative.
