MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY
Mechanics, Rules and Criteria for judging:
This involves participation of College of Engineering students in NISU Estancia,

Iloilo.Each council of two departments (BSCE and BSME) should have only one (1)
participant to represent them.
Photos must be taken by any type of mobile phone or smart phones only.
The photo must be related to the theme “ ------------ “ and must not contain any
malicious and offensive content.
Photos must be taken inside the West Campus ground.
Taking of photos will only last for 1 hour only, outputs must be submitted to the
committee assigned after the time given frame.
Contestants must obey the copyright rules. They should not provide photographs
that were previously posted on social media or owned by another person or
organization.
All entries must be in digital form (JPEG format) and must be submitted to the
committee after.
With the following details:
 Name
 Course and Year
 Contact Number
 Mobile Unit Used for Capturing Photo
All entries must be an original material taken by the photographer and should not
include watermarks, signatures, frames, date and stamp time, or any other markings
on the photo.
Digital manipulation is not allowed. Enhancements must be limited to basic post-
processing such adjustments of contrast, minimal color balancing, sharpening,
cropping, dodging, and burning.
In sending your entry, you give the committees (CESO & JPSME) the right to use
your photo in any advocacy, publication, and publicity purposes.
Committees reserve the right to not to accept or disqualify entries that do not follow
the guidelines.
The deadline for submission of contestants is until 10:30 am on September 7, 2023.
Three most outstanding photos will receive prizes and recognitions.

Photographs will be judged based on the following criteria:

Adherence & Relevance to the Theme 30%
Creativity 40%
Originality 30%
TOTAL= 100%
SHOW & TELL

Contestants will be given a maximum of 5 minutes in presenting his/her work.
Using obscene language is strictly forbidden.
Contestants can use English/Hiligaynon as medium during the presentation.
Substitution during the presentation is not permitted.
Presentation will be judged according to the following criteria:
Clarity 30%
Content 40%
Delivery 30%
TOTAL= 100%
The overall score will be combined scores from the photograph and the presentation paper.

Mechanics, Rules, and Criteria for judging:
Participants must be a bonafide student and currently enrolled in Northern Iloilo

State University (NISU) College of Engineering.
Each class should have 2 participants, 1 male and 1 female.
Outfits/costume of the participants must be based on their chosen color; not literally
just plain shirts and pants.
The criteria for judging will be based on their introduction/outfit, their wit in answering the
question and their overall impact.
Introduction & Outfit: judges will look into how candidates present themselves, their outfit
will be judge and how they introduce themselves. The candidates will be judge under these
areas;
Creativity 30%
Stage presence 25%
Self introduction 25%
Audience impact 20%
TOTAL= 100%
Question & Answer: This portion of the pageant will test how our candidates speak their
mind, this area will show the candidates quick thinking and superb delivery of answers.
Judges will score them under these areas;
Wit and Content 40%
Stage presence 25%
Projection and delivery 20%
Overall impact 15%
TOTAL= 100%
Overall: the combined scores of both segments will decide who will be our pageant winners.
Introduction & outfit 50%
Question & answer 50%
TOTAL= 100%
Judges vote will be final and irrevocable.
CLASS PRESENTATION

Mechanics, Rules, and Criteria for judging:
This involves bonafide engineering students currently enrolled in Northern Iloilo State
University (NISU) College of Engineering.
The participating group must consist of all the students in their class.
The participating group should present a unique performance by their choice
(singing, dancing, dance-drama, acting, etc.)
The performance should be decent and must be appropriate for the occasion.
The performance should only last for a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5
minutes. Excess on the required duration of performance will result to a deduction.
Using of props is allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the performance,
and harm to the participating groups.
The participating group are allowed to use any costume as long as it will adhere to
their chosen color.
The class presentation will be judged according to the following criteria:
Concept 30%
Uniqueness and Originality 30 %
Outfit 10%
Audience impact 15%
Overall performance 15%
TOTAL= 100%
The decision of the judges will be final and irrevocable.
CoEng SINGING IDOL

The rules and mechanics of the competition are as follows:
Contest piece can be an OPM or any genre of the contestant’s choice.

Each contestant must render a contest piece with a duration minimum of 3 minutes and maximum
of 5 minutes.
Singing should be accompanied by a minus one only with no backing vocals.
Failure of conformity to the above-mentioned rules will result to disqualification of the contestant in
the competition.
Judges’ decision is final and irrevocable.
The criteria for judging are as follows:
Mastery/Vocal Technique 45%
Style and Performance 35%
Overall Appeal and Audience Impact 20%
TOTAL= 100%
ON THE SPOT PAINTING
Mechanics, rules, and criteria for judging:
The painting must be based on the theme provided by the host institution.
The contestant must bring his/her own painting brushes and mixing plate. Any kind of brush will be
allowed. All other competition materials willl provided by the host institution.
The paint will be provided during the contest proper.
Mixing of colors is allowed.
The contestants will use a 1/4 illustration board which will be provided by the host institution.
The contestant duration is for a period of four (4) hours.
No distinguishing mark of name of the contestants shall appear in the entry.
Contest output will be the property of college of engineering
Judges decision is final.
Criteria for Judging:

•Mastery of specific skills and utilization of media
Composition 20%
•Organization of visual space.

PENCIL DRAWING

Materials will be provided by the contestants except for the illustration board with the size of 15"X
20".
The contestants must use any brand of pencil.
Charcoal pencil, art gunner or equivalent, brush, cotton, tissue paper, sand paper, photograph and
air brush are not allowed
Smudging is not allowed
The head master will decide for the subject.
The contest duration has a period of four hours (4hrs).
Only the contestants are allowed in the contest venue.
No distinguished marks or names all the contestants shall appear in the entry.
Contest outputs (artworks) will be the property of College of Engineering of NISU.
Judges decision are irrevocable.
