Since the month of July and August is a school break of the students, the Digos City Chess Club Workers’
Association would like to conduct a Chess Tournament in your barangay this Coming July 29, 2023 dubbed as
First Barangay Zone III School Break Chess Tournament.
In connection to this, Our association would like to humbly request your good office to provide a seed fund
Ten Thousand Pesos ( P10,000.00) which will be used as Prizes and expenses to the tournament. We will be

V. Schedule of event: July 29,2023 at 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM
VI: Registration Fee: P150 for adult/ P50 for kiddies / Free registration for Barangay Zone III residence.
V. Participants: Open to Digos City non-masters only.
VII. The tournament shall be conducted according to the FIDE laws of chess and as prescribed by the organizer
during the tournament. The tournament will be played 7 rounds for open category and 5 rounds for kiddies
category Swiss System format.

Each player is given time of 20 minutes to finish the game.

Winners are determined according to the number of points earned.
A win garners 1 point, ½ for a draw and 0 for a losses.
