May Cross in Quero:
Cultural Treasure of 1734
The May Cross in Quero, erected in 1734 by
Ignacio Naranjo at Hacienda Hipolongo,
stands out as an artistic and spiritual
monument. Carved in colored stone, with a
height of one meter fifty meters, this Jesuit
jewel reveals detailed craftsmanship. Visible
from the third pedestal, its mysterious
presence adds to its charm.

Hummingbird
Monument
The monument, the work of artist Gonzalo Endara Crow,
presents the hummingbird spreading its wings in a unique
pictorial creation. Located in the traffic circle at the
intersection of El Progreso Avenue and Pifo-Tambillo Road,
between General Rumiñahui and General Pintag Avenues, this
delicate representation shows the hummingbird protecting its
eggs, symbolizing an eternal home.

Built by the famous Ecuadorian artist
Gonzalo Endara Crow in 1989, this
monument in Sangolquí is a
monumental offering of iron and
concrete. Located in the traffic circle of
Luis Cordero Avenue and Abdón
Calderón Avenue, it occupies 2000 m2
of space.
