GOLDEN RULES FOR

GK/GS/GA
1) Have Faith in yourself and your Hard Work.
2) Don’t run behind covering 100% GS Syllabus . You will end up
frustrating yourself. Run after only 75-80% Syllabus and the rest
will be covered through Mock Test and PYQs
3) For very Imp. and Famous Topics read Theory First and then
jump to PYQs but for not so important topics use “Reverse
Engineering Approach” i.e., Solve PYQs first which will give you a
crystal clear idea of parts of Topic that is being asked by SSC and
then while reading theory afterwards you will easily differentiate
between usable and non-usable content.
4) PYQs are more important than the Topic and Theory itself. I
used Pinnacle PYQ in GS but choice of PYQ Book is all upto you.
Don’t forget to read extra info. given below each question.
_visshhaaal_ cglair74
IN THIS SMART PDF, I WILL DISCUSS ONLY THOSE 75-80%
TOPICS WHICH WILL HELP YOU SCORE MAXIMUM AND WILL
KEEP YOU IN RELAX MODE.

SCIENCE
Most Scoring and Expected Section as questions asked are highly
repititive in nature.

If you are Science Graduate and have basic knowledge of Science

Subjects, then according to my experience you can directly jump
to PYQs as anything and everything will be covered there
comprehensively.
If you are Non Science Graduate then you need to work on your
Theory part and then move to PYQs. While reading theory, read
chapters in sequential manner and not hop from one chapter to
another without any plan.

_visshhaaal_ cglair74
PHYSICS
I will suggest you to cover entire Theory of Physics from Lucent
itself as it is more than sufficient. Stick to Lucent only rather
than changing sources. If you face any problem while
understanding topics, you may take help from Youtube Videos.
Avoid making notes of this section. Highlight important parts in
Lucent itself and PYQ Book whichever you are following in the
first go itself so that you don’t face much problem during your
revision time.
IMPORTANT Topics include:
1) SI Units and Measurements
2) Light and Optics
3) Electric Current
4) Discoveries (Only PYQs)
5) Force & Pressure
6) Sound and Waves
7) Gravitation
8) Work & Energy

_visshhaaal_ cglair74
CHEMISTRY
Non-Science students may find Lucent Theory of Chemistry little
bit tough. So, in that case you can refer to Youtube videos for the
same and then read theory.
Make only selective notes of Chemistry. If you find any new point
of topic then try to accommodate that point in Lucent itself .
Keep on Highlighting important topics and points.

Keep one Periodic Table always on your table while reading

Chemistry. Ek baar Periodic Table ka layout smjhna zaruri hai
bahaut.
IMP Topics include:
1) Chemistry in Everyday Life (Only PYQs)
2) Alloys and Common Names ( Learn on Regular Basis like
Vocab)
3) Periodic Table PYQs(Learn how properties change on going
from left to right and top to bottom or vice-versa)
4) Organic Chemistry( Do PYQs after covering basic theory)
5) Acid, Base & Salts ( Only PYQs are sufficient)

_visshhaaal_ cglair74
6) Metal and Non- Metal ( Theory and then PYQ)

8) Ideal Gas Laws ( Only 5-6 Laws are there like Charles Law,
Boyle’s Law etc. No need of PYQs. Only learn the Laws )

BIOLOGY
Some Lucent Portion of Biology may seem to be little bit boring.
So, i would suggest you to take help of videos that will portray
the diagrams in colorful manner and enhance your interest in
Biology.

No need of making notes. Higlight in Lucent and PYQ Book and if

you find any new point then try to write it in either of the books.

IMP Topics include:

Theory and then solve PYQ)

Book of Polity that i found useful other than Lucent was CDS
Arihant Pathfinder

This is very very important. I recommend you to make list of

them with you anywhere you want and revise them and also edit

particular Topic. Please make your own handwriiten notes.

table ke saamne? Nhi chipkaya hai ab tak to ab le aao aur ekdm

necessary.

_visshhaaal_ cglair74
2) Indian Drainage System ( Star Mark this very Imp Topic. Best
source to cover this topic is through Parcham Classes Free
Youtube Videos and then revise the same through their PDF. I
will also upload the same PDF on my Telegram Channel very
soon and you can use them. If you find any extra point or
tributary of any river while solving PYQs that is not mentioned in
their PDF then do not panic. Just keep on adding extra points in
PDF itself. I did not make notes for this section. But it’s all upto
you.

3) Crops (Rabi/Kharif) (It is very small topic. Finish this topic in

just one page and keep it aside. One question can be highly
expected from this topic)

4) Ramsar Sites( Keep a track on latest addition to this list)

PYQs just by Elimination Method.

Kings and their Ruling Period. I used Sticky notes too. Paste them
on front area of your study table and read daily.

_visshhaaal_ cglair74
1) Indus Valley Civilisation ( I would not suggest you to read

MISCELLANEOUS
DO NOT MAKE NOTES OF THESE. Your sole focus should be on
Reading part only.

Only PYQs will help you in multiple topics.

Learn them on daily basis like Vocab

learn them through Mnemonic Technique. I will provide Pdf)

_visshhaaal_ cglair74
6) State of Forest Report 2021 ( I will provide Pdf)

7) Sports ( Expect 1-2 questions from this section. Learn Terms,

Specifications and Trophies from Lucent itself or any other
source if you have. Also keep a track on major Sports Events and
their top 5 winners. Don’t read those events which are not much
popular or India is not a part except FIFA and other large
tournaments. Special focus on Khelo India Games etc.)

8) First in India and World ( From Lucent)

9) World Organisations ( From Lucent)

10) Don’t run behind covering Books & Authors as well as

Obituaries, Important Days, Themes etc. because topics like
these will only suck your time and energy. Play Smart

COMPUTER
Only & Only PYQs are more than sufficient. Do only those PYQs
that are asked by TCS. Theory is not important. I did only PYQs
and solved 15 out of 20 questions. Remember that this is only
Qualifying section so don’t spend much time on it. Read
Computer 1 month before Exam. Play Smart

_visshhaaal_ cglair74
CURRENT AFFAIRS
Don’t run behind Daily Current Affairs

Do only Monthly Current Affairs from any Pdf that you like. But
don’t spend more than one day in reading one month current
affairs because SSC has no fixed timeline of asking current
affairs. They can ask CA of last year as well and you cannot
object them. For Ex. In CGL23 Mains conducted in October 2023
they asked CA from Sept 2022. Play Smart
