THE UNDERGROUND PLAYBOOK FOR

GETTING HIGH SCORE IN YOUR POST UTME
EXAM…

WHAT THIS POST UTME GUIDE IS ABOUT

( AND WHAT IT’S NOT ABOUT)

Hey, my name is Oladejo Michael…

Before we get started, I want to introduce myself and let you know what this book is about (and more importantly,
what it’s not about).

This guide is not about getting you admission into the Better by Far Uni (UNILORIN)- yet in this guide I’m going
to share with you all you need to know about having more chances of gaining admission into UNILORIN.

If the only thing you have in your mind right now is gaining admission and becoming a student of UNILORIN then
this guide is for you but if not you can kindly stop reading this guide because this information should not be
wasted. I have found that it is common for students to desire to gain admission they are not willing to do whatever
it takes to make that happen.

Recently, I had a conversation with some students and one of them ask me and said What’s that thing that helps
parents know that their children is doing all their best to gain admission but whenever the student has a poor result
they blame the student as if he/she doesn’t wish more than anything to have better result and to gain admission?

I smiled and looked at him and asked him: How would you feel if you had a child and gave the child a sweet in
exchange to clean the dishes, the child took the sweet , ate it and cleaned half of the dish and left the rest

He replied I will feel it wasn’t a fair deal because the child is supposed to clean all the dishes but he refused and
that’s disappointing

I smiled and said to me; You have said it all, that’s how it feels when a child passes his SSCE and JAMB but have a
poor result in his/her POST UTME and later on didn’t get admitted into the university
THIS BRINGS US TO THE REAL REASON BEHIND THIS GUIDE

I have seen lots of cases of students who passed their SSCE and JAMB excellently and failed UNILORIN’s POST
UTME EXAMS and it’s usually due to the fact that they are not well equipped with the right information but this
guide will solve that problem for you.

With this guide comes the power to stand out from the crowd…. Do yourself a favour, keep this guide and lets just
pretend it’s a secret between us because what I will share will increase your knowledge and show you how you can
have high score in your POST UTME easily.

WHY YOU NEED THIS GUIDE?

Except you are that person that doesn’t want to wear a matriculation gown, doesn’t want to make his/her parent
proud , wants to be left alone and watch his friends gain admission, or wants to a wait another year at home, the list
goes on and on then drop this guide and try any other method…….. I’m convinced that for you to have read this
far, you actually want the opposite of what I stated.. You want to wear a matriculation gown, you want to make
your parent proud, you don’t want to be left alone and watch your friends gain admission and you don’t want to
wait at home for another year…. Then we are both friends and we have a lot in common.

WHO IS THIS GUIDE FOR?

This Guide is for categories of people

1. IF you passed your SSCE and JAMB excellently and met the cut-off mark (If you’re not sure what the cut-off
mark is, you can kindly reach out after you are done reading this GUIDE)
2. IF you passed your SSCE but didn’t meet the JAMB cut-off mark
3. IF you’ve lost hope totally and feel there’s no way you’re gaining admission this year
4. IF you want to get your dream course
5. IF you are determined to gain admission this year

NOW IT’S TIME TO PAY ATTENTION!!!

It started one evening, this was the night before my big day. I had done a lot of reading and my eyes were what you
would call worned out (have you ever felt like you’ve read everything in the entire world and so confident that you
can answer any question including the day they gave birth to your great grand father…. Hahaha that’s how
confident I was)

I lied on my bed waiting to fall asleep as I thought within myself how I was going to get 380 in my jamb that I was
going to write tomorrow’s morning.. I slept and woke up early, so early… did I said I slept? That was an
exaggeration… I couldn’t sleep and couldn’t take my mind off the smile I will see on my mom’s face when I
announce to her that I had 380 in my jamb at least for the first time she will know that what am useful for is not
only pressing my phone, I wanted to prove a point and I can’t wait to tell my friends how I got 380 because I was
much more smarter than they are. (PS: I’m not a proud type but you know na… dem must know say I be smart
guy)

I did my exam and the result came out hoping to see my 380 and start bragging about it.. what I saw amazed me…
Well I will continue my story but first let me tell you some of what you need to know about UNILORIN POST
UTME

All You Need To Know About UNILORIN Post-UTME

1) To qualify for the UNILORIN post UTME exam, you must have sat for any of the O’ Level
exams either with your released result or your awaiting result and already meet up with the
school’s minimum cut-off mark for your course in JAMB.

(I suppose that for you to request this post utme guide then you must’ve already passed
your o’level exams and you now know your jamb score… did you aim for 380 like I did? If you
did then we have a lot in common but if you aimed for 400 then I don’t know what to say….
Hahaha )

2) UNILORIN post UTME exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT).

3) There are going to be 50 questions and the test will last for 25 – 30minutes. ( Did you just think to
yourself…. That’s too small na? well don’t worry I got you covered I will show you something soon)

4) The questions will mostly be categorized into 3 parts which are: English Language, Mathematics
and Current Affairs.

5) Generally, UNILORIN doesn’t have a specific proportion with which the subjects and
accompanying questions are given to candidates which means a candidate may have the afore-listed
subjects in the ratio of 25:15:10 (i.e English Lang.= 25, Mathematics=15, Current Affairs=10) while
another candidate will have his/her combination in the ratio of 15:10:25 and so on. This means the
proportion varies from candidate to candidate. However, one thing is certain; you will be provided
with 50 questions in total.

6) The date for the commencement of the sale of the post UTME forms would be posted in the
dailies, the school website and of course here.
7) The form will be purchased online on the school’s website using either the Verve or Master Card
payment platforms. PLEASE NOTE THAT FORMS WILL NOT BE SOLD OUTSIDE OF THE SCHOOL
WEBSITE. (DON’T LET ANYONE SCAM YOU)

8) UNILORIN does not test how much you know about the department or faculty you are coming in
for. That has been taken care of in your O’ levels and in your JAMB.

9) The UNILORIN post UTME cut off mark is generally 50% except for the highly competitive courses
which are between 60% to 70%. So if you score anything less than 50% in the post UTME exam, your
chances of getting admitted maybe slim.

(This is the reason I wrote this guide specially for you, the problem is if you don’t pass excellently in
your POST UTME EXAM YOUR CHANCES OF GETTING ADMISSION IS VERY SLIM but don’t worry by
the end of this guide you will equipped with all you need)

10) All that is required of you on the day of the exam is your printout and a pen to sign the
attendance.

11) Your result will be sent to you via text message so be sure of the phone number you will provide
during registration. Results will also be available on the school website.

You don’t want to see your result and look like this:

But you want to get your result and be like this:

After that if you’re like me, you will be like: ‘MOM I HAD 95% IN MY POST UTME’
Lets go to the next point:

12) A text message will be sent to you if you have been offered admission or by checking the school
website.

(You don’t even want to have an idea of how I will feel If I see this text… Can you imagine how you
will feel if you see this kind of text?)

13) UNILORIN remedial students will also have to sit for the post UTME because it increases their
chances of being offered their desired courses although what actually qualifies them for admission is
meeting up with the minimum 50% pass in their courses but this does not guarantee that they would
be offered their desired courses.

Now that’s some quality information I have given you there…..

Permit me to finish my story now:

When I saw my score I became sad because unlike the 380 I wished for, I had 234. It was still okay
that’s what many people told me… be thankful at least you scored above 200. I accepted fate and
pressed on further. I know you may have experienced the same thing.. You wanted to score a very
high score and you ended scoring a low score. Remember how that made you feel? Well its time to
grow past that and look towards the future to avoid such a thing from happening in your post utme.
we have all been there and I know you may want to ask the question…. WHAT DO YOU DO NEXT
AFTER NOT GETTING THE HIGH SCORE AIMED FOR? If that’s your question then the only thing you
need is a STRONG POST UTME SCORE.

You may want to ask, why is a strong post utme score important?

Well that’s simple question because without a strong post utme score then your chances of gaining
admission is very SLIM, if not impossible to gain admission. A HIGH POST UTME SCORE IS YOUR
ONLY CHANCE OF GAINING ADMISSION
I was in your shoe I didn’t have anyone to guide me like this post utme guide is now guiding you, I
didn’t have anyone to give me quality information like you are getting right now

It was time for my post utme, I and my friend Femi went to Ilorin although we were not assigned to
the same date but we just love going to places together he was the first to do his exam, he did his
exam and patiently waited for his result we went and check it FEMI had 85% I felt jealous and
wondered how he got so smarter than I am, so I said to myself for Femi to have 85% then definitely I
can do better than that… I did mine and I checked my result I had 53% just barely above cut-off
mark… I wondered to myself what is going on this year?

I remembered Femi had 218 in his jamb so what could have happened?

Luckily for me, I became humble and decided to ask Femi how he scored 80% in his post utme score
and he shared the most marvellous thing I have wished I knew before I did my post utme exam and
am going to share with you step by step what he did to get that high score and how you can get 80%
or even above that;

I have shown lots of people this step and they have seen that it works, it’s not really that hard

BUT FIRST,

I NEED YOU TO MAKE A COMMITMENT THAT YOU WILL MAKE GOOD USE OF THIS
INFORMATION!!!!!

LET’S DIVE STRAIGHT INTO IT:

YOUR ADMISSION INTO UNILORIN IS DEPENDENT ON HOW WELL YOU DO, NOT ONLY IN YOUR
SSCE AND JAMB, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY IN YOUR POST UTME AND THE KEY TO GETTING HIGH
SCORE IN YOUR POST UTME IS TO FOLLOW THE PROCEDURES IN THIS GUIDE

Let that sink for a minute: Do you now believe that? Good… lets continue

By the way I didn’t gain admission that year into UNILORIN but had to wait another year and I
followed every principle in this guide and it worked perfectly for me…. Yours can’t be different!

You don’t want to waste a year like I did right?

Then take this guide seriously.

1. Use of English

Take note that the University of ilorin in her use of English language section always present GNS
questions, in the series of GNS 111, GNS 101 and other varies of GNS questions. (no one will tell you
this, but I just did…. Just continue reading)

However, the school also mixes the questions with some every day topic that you will meet in
English and below all primary topics.

The Use of English syllabus consists of three sections:

SECTION A: Lexis and Structure

SECTION B: Oral Forms

SECTION C: GNS

Lexis and structure:

(a) synonyms : Study words and their synonymous meanings. You will come across questions that
might not directly ask you for the nearest in meaning.

Even though they don’t ask for the synonymous meaning, most questions will still be put in an
indirect way that might still have to do with synonyms.

(b) antonyms : Study antonyms also, words and their opposite meaning.

(c) homonyms

(d) clause and sentence structures : The University of Ilorin will surely test your understanding of
clauses and sentence structures.

They are a lot of questions under this section in past questions so ensure you study clauses and
sentence structures. E.g, a question might be put and you would be asked to choose the clause used
in an underlined part.

A question might also be put and you would be asked to chose which sentence structure was used.

(e) word classes and their functions:

(f) mood, tense, aspect, number: The most imperative part here is tenses, you would be tested on
Tenses, so you must study all the tenses in English language.

(g) Agreement/concord degree (positive, comparative and superlative)

Again you need to make sure you study, Concords. Concord’s questions are usually common in the
University of Ilorin post utme test.

(h) Question tags : You would likewise be presented with question Tags question.

v. interpret information conveyed in sentences.

Oral Forms.

choose the correct option which represents the underlined vowel.

(b) Consonants (including clusters): Also study consonants because the school will test you on
consonants, where you will ask to chose am option that contains the sound of the underlined
consonant.

(C) Word stress (monosyllabic and polysyllabic)

You will get questions which are stress and syllables under the Oral English section.

(e) Intonation (words emphatic stress)

Emphatic stress involves the placement of normal

stress on words in an utterance for the purpose of emphasis.

Candidates should be able to:

i. make distinctions between vowel types;

ii. differentiate between consonant types;

iii. identify correct accentuation in individual words and

connected speech.

GNS

The school sets questions too from GNS, it could be from GNS 111 or any other areas of GNS.

Ordinarily GNS is a 100 level course, but some of the experts who sets the school post utme includes
GNS questions.

The questions are usually twisted questions that may confuse your understanding.

Logical Reasoning: You need to be able to answer logical reasoning questions.

This is a topic you would not find in ordinary O’level Use of English

Textbook.

In this case, we urge you study more of past questions where you will be faced with questions under
logical reasoning.

2. Mathematics

Among the questions you will get in the exam, you will also see mathematics questions.

Well, the mathematical questions presented are not that complicated.

There are more of quantitative questions and basic mathematics.

Study Quantitative Reasoning questions: You need to get acquainted to Logical reasoning
questions under mathematics.

It deals with you using brain to answer most twisted mathematical questions.

Study Basic mathematics:

You need to have a primary background of mathematics and not the complicated or advanced part
of the mathematics.

3. General Paper (current affairs)

This is the last section in the University of Ilorin Post Utme.

The school will give you series of questions under current affairs. It’s wise for you to study past
questions in this case but ensure you also study questions about the University of Ilorin.
