SCOPE OF WORK & OFFER


1.0 GENERAL:

AREVA T&D India Ltd have issued enquiry for Electrical, Civil & Structure Design
and Engineering services for Extension of 110kV switchyard for Vasvadatta
Cements. In response to this enquiry, KNR Engineers (India) Pvt Ltd (KNR) will
carry out engineering consultancy services as per scope of work as detailed
hereunder.

3.0 EXCLUSIONS :

The following are excluded from KNR’s Scope.


 Contour survey / Soil Investigation / Earth Resistivity Measurement.
 Scope of work other than listed above.

4.0 COMMON POINTS FOR ELECTRICAL, CIVIL & STRUCTURAL SCOPES


NOTES:
4.1 All Engineering activities including preparation of drawings will be carried out from
KNR–Chennai office. Drawings / documents will be forwarded through email to
AREVA for submission.

4.2 KNR shall provide all Technical Inputs/Drawings/Documents to AREVA for submission
to Client / Consultant to obtain their approval. If required KNR will depute their
design personnel from Chennai for attending essential technical discussions with M/s.
AREVA/Consultant to provide critical clarifications.

5.0 INPUT DATA

The following inputs shall be provided by AREVA


 Complete Tender specification along with drawings.
 Drawings prepared and submitted by AREVA along with offer if any.
 Copy of offer, Copy of purchase order (unpriced)
 Copy of pre award clarifications, confirmations, MOM etc.
 Contour survey, Soil Investigation/ Earth Resistivity Measurement report.
 Equipment / vendor drawings

6.0 PRICE SCHEDULE AND PAYMENT TERMS

i) Fees for Design & Detailed Engineering Services for


Civil works as per the scope of work defined Rs. 1.08 lakhs
ii) Fees for Design & Detailed Engineering Services for
Structural work as per the scope of work defined Rs. 1.26 lakhs
iii) Fees for Design & Detailed Engineering Services for
Electrical work as per the scope of work defined Rs. 1,44 lakhs

6.1 PAYMENT TERMS:


6.1.1 The lumpsum fees indicated in clause 6.0 shall be paid to KNR in the following manner:
i. 60% against submission of drawings & documents *

ii. 40% upon approval of drawings & documents *

* List of drawings and submission schedule shall be submitted along with “Basis of
Design” document. Billing schedule indicating percentage content shall also be
submitted for payment on prorate basis.
7.0 Visits
For any visit outside Chennai, if KNR Engineers are required to undertake, the
following shall be arranged by AREVA.
7.1 To & Fro II class A/C Train / Air Fare at actuals
7.2 Boarding, lodging expenses and local conveyance.

8.0 OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS

8.1 Taxes & Duties


The lumpsum fees mentioned above is Exclusive of any taxes & duties (other than
Income Tax). Service Tax @ 10.3% as applicable for consulting services shall be
extra. However if any tax, duty, levies are imposed on KNR during currency of the
assignment, M/s. AREVA shall reimburse the same at actuals.
8.2 Mode of Payment
Payment shall be made to KNR within 10 days from the date of submission of invoice,
through Cheque drawn in favour of KNR Engineers (India) Pvt Ltd payable at Chennai.
8.3 Completion period
6-8 weeks from the date of receipt of your work order and input data as required.
The completion schedule depends mainly on approved Equipment drawings from your
Vendors.
8.4 Additional Work
Any additional work if required other than those indicated in the Scope of work
mentioned shall be carried out on a mutually agreed terms and conditions.
8.5 Validity
This offer is valid for acceptance up to February 28, 2011.
