    The act is a college admissions test that also provides college course (& dual credit) placement, career planning,
    and meets some scholarship requirements. If you plan to go to college & want to make yourself eligible for merit
    scholarships (most colleges, including tech schools, offer merit scholarships), you should register up for the act.
