NARRATIVE REPORT ON INTERVENTION AND REMEDIATION


School Year : 2020-2021

I. INTRODUCTION

The Danlag National High School headed by Mr. Junier R. Entrina conduct a
intervention and remediation program for the slow and average learners to help them to
improve the test scores of participating students in the subjects of Filipino, Araling
Panlipunan, Math, T.L.E, Science, English, ESP and MAPEH using Strategic Intervention
Materials.

The said activities were conducted During March 1-12 2021. The persons involve in
this activities are the subject teachers, Teacher In-Charge, and selected junior high school
students of the Danlag National High School together with their parents. The teachers
identify learners through the results of assessments given to them during 1 st quarter.

II. OBJECTIVES
 To set a schedule for remedial/enrichment activities to Junior High School learners in
Filipino, Araling Panlipunan, Math, Science, English, ESP, MAPEH and T.L.E.
 Assess the Junior High School learners in answering the remedial/enrichment
activities.

III. ACCOMPLISHMENT

Through printed Strategic intervention materials (SIM) the teachers are able to send
students enrichment activities to improve their school performance even this situation.
Teachers monitor the learners learning progress through online media such as FB
messenger, Google classroom, and text messages.

The Results of this intervention program brings positive impacts in the academic
status of the students. With the Graph showed below there are decrease number of slow
and average learners from 1st quarter to 2nd quarter. With this the intervention program has
been a success but still open for improvements especially on making/ constructing
enrichment activities.
IV. PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED

 Many students are not provided with the strong internet connection and sometimes
fail to catch up.
 Lack of computer literacy is a major issue among students today. Many of them
cannot operate basic programs such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and
therefore are not able to handle their files effectively.

This Graph shows the level of Proficiency of the student during 1 st Quarter for slow and
average learners.

2nd Quarter

In this graph we can see that there are improvements in their proficiency level
during the second quarter. The decreasing number of slow and average learner is a proof
that the intervention has been a success.
