Curriculum Designer | San Francisco State English Department
• Curriculum Innovation: Designed a modern, student-centered
developmental writing course rich in both interactive e-learning and
dynamic face-to-face instruction, under the direction of the Writing
Program Director.
• Comprehensive Planning: Developed my curriculum into a detailed and
cohesive model course for fellow instructors, with day-by-day plans and
detailed explanations and commentary—documenting clear intent,
procedures, and theoretical foundations.
• Paying It Forward: My model curriculum frees newer teachers up from
having to design a whole curriculum, allowing them to focus on building
vibrant learning communities.

• Inclusive Pedagogical Approach: Fostered a supportive classroom
atmosphere and welcomed students of all skill levels and backgrounds

• Comprehensive Evaluation: Conducted detailed observations of Writing
Program colleagues, thoroughly reviewing course materials and lesson
plans to ensure my understanding of teaching contexts was holistic.
• Feedback for Growth: Prioritized a growth-oriented approach, offering
constructive feedback during informal debriefing sessions and in a
formal writeup. Emphasized development rather than criticism, to foster
a positive and supportive work environment.
