A TALE OF TWO FILMS
Introduction:
Title: A tale of two films

Introduction: If I were to present two of the most contrasting films about
overcoming adversity it would be The Blind Side (2009) and Doctor Zhivago
(1965). Whereas the former left me with a huge grin on my face, sadly, the latter
left me feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders.

Main Content:
octor Zhivago, directed by five-time Oscar winner David Lean, is set in the
Bolshevik revolution and follows the title character, who must adapt to the new
order while pining for Lara, the beautiful wife of a political campaigner. The
director succeeded in creating a film that is thoroughly engaging but full of
gritty realism, cruelty and tragic irony. Take the tissues!
3) In the last paragraph, you can outline the negative points, for example,
things that could be changed to improve the quality of the
reviewed book/film.
Raccomandation
I would strongly recommend The Blind Side. It will appeal to a range of
people and is a great choice for a movie night. Although Doctor Zhivago is a
classic, I think it has more of a niche audience and is best saved for when
you want a dose of gloom!

The Apollo: The Theatre of Dreams
Never before have you seen such an amazing spectacle as you will see in

Never before have you seen such an amazing spectacle as you will see in
the Apollo. It´s not only the facilities and personnel that make this venue so
great, but also the amazing acoustics of such a large venue.
From the moment you enter the place there is an awe about it. All of the
greatest acts of recent times have played here and you can feel the buzz as
soon as you enter. The crowd are so close to the stage that they can literally
feel the droplets of sweat coming off of the brows of their favourite artists,
this creates an amazing connection between the musicians and the
audience and I can tell you, the fans go wild!
I´d definitely recommend this venue to anyone, it has a great feel to it and
the prices are at the lower end of what you would expect to pay in such a
place. They also don’t go over the top on drinks prices, and through it
sounds weird, it´s not all that difficult to get to the bathroom which is a plus.
So, without a doubt, the next time your favourite group is playing, come on
down to the Apollo, oh, and did I mention it is in London? It couldn´t get any
better.

2020 entertaining coming-of-age Netflix production.
Ellie Chu is a Chinese shy girl who has started a good business : profitable, interesting,
challenging..., that everyone, except teachers, would surely appreciate: writing essays. One day, Paul
has a particular request, he wants her to write a love letter to Aston. This is the driving force that

This could appear as the biggest clichéd trope ever produced, but this movie will leave you with a
smile on your face and thoughts in your mind.
The film provides fascinating insights into adolescence, it demonstrates that happiness can be
always found while challenging culture and sexuality. In the beginning, the movie depicts Ellie as a
walking shadow, yet with a colourful mind; a feeling that every introvert has felt, at least once, in
their lifetime. Nevertheless, Ellie is forced to deal with her sexuality and discovers that she should
be more than a ghost. If you are thinking of being Ellie, this film can offer you guidance to overcome
shyness.
If you don't like romantic movies, don't be put off by the title; as the plot and the trailer highlight...not
every love story is a romance! With its irony and vivacity, 'The half of it' is the perfect ally for a joyful
movie night. It appeals to a vast range of people, from teenagers to adults, therefore there's no
reason why you shouldn't watch it.

I came across a very stimulating job position advertisement on your Instagram

account, and I believe I am the perfect candidate for that role. I am interested in
teaching English abroad and, after reading the requirements and the job description, I
am sure that I would make an outstanding contribution to your agency and that this
employment will play a crucial role in my future career.
I want to join your agency and become an English teacher in Spain in order to broaden
my horizons; I challenge myself continuously, as a matter of fact, I spent one full year
in Madrid and another one in London during high school, therefore, I am very
comfortable with both languages. In addition, I have almost finished my third year at
the university, where I mostly study translation, pedagogy, psychology, and literature,
and I am willing to take a gap year before starting my master's degree, ergo, your job
proposal fits my plan.
I have already worked with pupils aged 10-16 during a summer camp in Italy; if I were
to describe that project with solely one word, I would surely say ‘edutainment’. When I
plan activities, I always ensure they reflect three characteristics that I like to
denominate the 3Is: Interactivity, Intellectuality, and Inventiveness. I am sure that this
job will make me enter into contact with different cultures and give me the right tools
to become an intercultural mediator.
