Profile :

Mrs G Subhashini is working as Professor and Head of Department of Electronics and

Communication Engineering at Malla Reddy Institute of Technology and Science, Hyderabad.

She has 11+ years of experience in teaching field and industry. She has published many

papers in the SCI, SCOPUS, peer-refereed National and International journals, book

chapters and conferences. She is pursuing her Ph.d from KL University, Hyderabad in VLSI

INTERCONNECTS . She did M.Tech with the specialization of VLSI System Design from

JNTU Hyderabad. she did B.Tech with the specialization of Electronic and Communication

Engineering from, Osmania University. She has research interests include Machine learning

and Artificial intelligence.

1. You have held key positions throughout your professional career, what inspired you to
pursue a career in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering?

Answer:

This field is dynamic and constantly evolving. Many aspiring engineers are drawn
to the opportunity to be at the forefront of technological advancements and
contribute to innovations in areas like wireless communication, IoT, and more.
2. Could you provide some insights into your vision for the future of the ECE Department of
at MRITS? What are some of your key objectives or initiatives?

Answer:

leveraging digital tools and interactive platforms can create a dynamic learning
environment that caters to diverse learning styles and preferences. By embracing
these modern approaches, educators can foster a more engaging and effective
learning experience for students, ultimately preparing them for success in a
rapidly evolving world.

3. How do you stay up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in the field of
Electronics and Communication Engineering, and how do you incorporate this knowledge
into your departments teaching and research?

Answer:

Encouraging faculty to attend conferences, workshops, and seminars related to

ECE helps them stay current with emerging trends and technologies.

Moreover, fostering a culture of continuous learning among faculty members

cultivates an environment of innovation and adaptability within the institution.
This, in turn, empowers educators to integrate cutting-edge practices into their
teaching methods, ensuring that students receive the most relevant and forward-
thinking education in the field of Early Childhood Education.

4. How do you encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities, hackathons,

competitions, and research projects to enhance their practical skills alongside their
academic learning?

Answer:

Continually seek feedback from students about their interests and concerns
regarding participation in extracurricular activities. Use this feedback to improve
the offerings and support.

We consider establishing regular forums or surveys dedicated to gathering student

input on potential new extracurricular programs or improvements to existing
ones. This inclusive approach not only demonstrates a genuine commitment to
meeting students' needs but also fosters a sense of ownership and belonging
within the extracurricular community. It ultimately leads to a more vibrant and
fulfilling campus experience for all students involved.

5. How do you plan to collaborate with industry professionals and organizations to provide
real-world experiences and opportunities for students in the ECE department at MRITS?

Answer:

Invite industry experts to give guest lectures and workshops. These sessions can
provide students with insights into industry trends and practical knowledge.

We are creating opportunities for students to interact directly with these experts
through Q&A sessions or networking events can facilitate meaningful connections
and potential mentorship opportunities. This not only enriches their educational
experience but also opens doors to potential internships or job prospects in their
chosen field, giving them a valuable head start in their careers.

6. Can you explain us about the infrastructural facilities available with respect to ECE
Department at MRITS?

Answer:

Classrooms and Lecture Halls are equipped with audio-visual facilities and are
used for conducting lectures and seminars. Laboratories Equipped with latest
tools, Project and Innovation Spaces.

7. Being HOD, what strategies do you use to motivate and engage your students, and how
do you ensure that they are well-prepared for their future careers?

Answer:

Establish mentorship programs where senior students or faculty members mentor

and guide junior students. This can provide valuable academic and career advice.

The Strategy is mentorship programs can also foster a sense of belonging and
community within the institution, creating a supportive network for students to
lean on during their academic journey. By nurturing these relationships, students
not only gain academic and career insights but also develop crucial soft skills like
communication, leadership, and teamwork, setting them on a path to success in
their chosen field.

8. Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

Answer:

In a rapidly changing world, the ability to learn and adapt is invaluable. Embrace
