1. Give at least 4 roles and competencies of school head. Give example


situations and how it affect the school and community?

The role and competencies of school head are visionary leader, planner,
implementer, evaluator, fiscal resource manager, and curriculum developer. For
example is a budget cut that could impact the quality of education that will provided
to students such as textbook, technology, and extra curricular activities also will
affect the staff of the school and teachers that impact to each families of the workers
in situations like that. The school head must take action immediately he need to work
with district administration and local community to find a solution.

2. Site some of the responsibilities of internal and external stakeholders


and give examples.

For internal stakeholders, one of that is students they attend class regularly,
participate in extracurricular activities, complete assignments on time and follow the
school rules and regulations. For example Juan is a student of Basud National High
School, the school celebrating nutrition month so there are activities such poster and
slogan making, cooking contest, and every student bring different kinds food. Then
Juan should actively participate in that activities as a student. Another is school staff
their responsibilities is to support the school’s operations by managing administrative
task, maintaining facilities and providing student services such as counseling and
healthcare. For example Mang Jose is a utility in Mabini high school his duty is to
clean every part of the school like comfort room, hallway, lobby, bleachers. And for
external stakeholders, one of that is parents they support their children education by
attending parent – teacher conferences, volunteering at school events,
communicating with teachers and administrators. Example is Aling Rosa has a child
go to school name Mark he is achiever but later on his grade is getting lower, Aling
Rosa need to do is to talk to the adviser of his son, to know what is the reason of a
sudden change grade of his son.
3. What is SBM? What is its importance and give four dimensions or
factors.

SBM or School-Based Management is an organization that goal is to improve


the performance of a certain school lead by the school and its member are the
teachers, parents, students, and the community that makes solutions for continuous
improvement of the school. SBM is learner- centered focused on the needs of
students to give quality education. Facility to be added like student park,
laboratories, and theatre. Equipment to be needed to enhance teaching of teachers
to be more engaging like projectors, books, tables and chairs. It is important for the
growth not only the school, also for teachers, students, parents and school
personnel. It’s four dimensions is leadership and governance, curriculum and
learning, accountability and continuous improvement, and management of
resources.
