Dear All WORLD VISION ETHIOPIA (WVE) Staff

I pray you are all doing well. Hope you are enjoying Easter blessings!

It is my great pleasure to inform you that we will be implementing the merit salary
increments starting this month, April 2023, to recognise performances for FY22. The merit
increase was done based on our P&C policy and the guidelines from the Regional Office
that applies to all national offices. This will be reflected in the next paycheck on top of the
new salary that is going to be implemented moving forward.

Keep up the good work, hard work, and dedication, and may God bless us all as we serve
the most vulnerable children, their families, and communities.

In relation to the new salary scale and merit implementation the following decision was
made and approved:

If the staff's current (old salary) is below 1st quartile, they should move to 1st quartile
regardless of merit
Those staff that are eligible for merit, their merit on old salary will be added on 1st
quartile to reach the proposed new salary
Those staff that exceeds the new 1st quartile, their proposed new salary will be merit
+ old salary as long as they qualify for merit.

We will be having transparent open discussions at Hubs levels soon via a few online
Townhall Meetings. Please watch out for the invite, and we hope to interact with you
there. In addition, if you have any questions related to this salary increment, please
connect with the P&C Business Partners within your department/Hub/project. They will
be more than happy to support you.
