Committed to brighten people’s live, that’s how PLN has been consistent powering millions
of lives in Indonesia for 77 years. PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) or commonly known as PLN
is an Indonesian state-owned company that engages in an electricity sector. PLN growth aspirations
are supported by continuous evolution, with four main pillars namely “Green”, “Innovative”,
“Customer Focused”, and “Lean” strategies play a critical role behind PLN’s decision to embark on
transformations.

In order to make electricity a driving force economic activity, PLN understands the
importance of sustainable practices and harnesses the power of technology to achieved enhance
productivity, environmental stewardship, and high customer satisfaction. Following the example one
of the company products in this digital era is PLN mobile services. Align with Customer Focused
aspiration, in order to facilitate customers through variety of channels, PLN mobile application was
developed with some features namely are complaint functions and contact centre.

Currently, the addition of electricity continues to increase to 7000 capacity per year. Hence,
PLN concludes to develop power plant using various of energy sources such as PLTU, PLTGU, PLTG,
PLTA, PLTS, PLTP, and PLTB. All electricity sources development is implemented by competent
resources and supported by many organizations. As a power company, PLN controls, operates 100%
transmission and distribution networks in Indonesia and owns 69% generation. This indicates that PT
PLN (Persero) has succeeded in becoming one of the companies with the largest assets in Indonesia.
The hard work and dedication of PLN group are shown with its exquisite track record.

It is critical for an individual to implement core values of AHLAK in a state-owned company.


Core values in the form of AKHLAK BUMN are determined as an identity and work culture that is
supported by continuous performance improvement. It is my belief that an individual should
contribute positively to their society and environment, especially in the dynamic changing of modern
business environment. An effective contribution of an employee’s efforts is a strategic imperative for
organizational success. It equivalents with the company’s goals, value creation, continuous
improvement, and encourage a culture of innovation. A collective contribution plans of an employee
cultivates a workforce that is not only productive but also to accelerate the company's mission, drive
innovation, growth, and sustainability. As I envision my role, I am committed to formulate a
miscellaneous approach that are purposeful and aligned with the company's trajectory.

In order to achieved the company’s vision, PLN has announced the company has prepared six
strategies in 2023. The company explained, the six strategies implemented by PLN this year were a
continuation of the company’s transformation program three years ago. First, PLN will increase
efficiency through optimizing electricity operations along with strengthening digitalization. Second,
in order to improve corporate performance, the company will develop business portfolios and
unlocking company value. Next, the company continues the green aspiration strategy goal through
the energy transition program to achieve The Net Zero Emission target in 2060. The next step the
company will increase the Electrifying Lifestyle campaign to community and encourage public to
reduce emissions. Fifth, PLN also carrying out business development beyond kWh through diversify
the company's business by utilizing existing PLN assets, so that it can improve customer experience.
Finally, PLN ensures that all of the company's business and operational processes meet the
Environment, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) standards. Through this principle, all programs
carried out by PLN are expected to have a direct impact on society, the environment and the nation.

My intention of contribution to the company is by immersing myself in the company’s core


values, objectives, and goals and ensure that my efforts are align with PLN broader aspirations.
Additionally, with the rapid evolving business landscape specifically in this digital era, it is necessary
to have a continuous learning behaviour. Hence, my contribution plan involves continuously develop
my skills and knowledge to provide innovative solutions to the company by keeping up with industry
trends and emerging technologies in order to bring insights that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Furthermore, managing data-based strategies that lead into risk mitigation and capitalize
opportunities by understanding patterns, identify problems or trends, and speculating potential
outcomes can lead into company’s success.

From prior experience, both from educational and professional, my primary responsibilities
related to data-based namely are to interpret and analyse data. In my three years experiences in the
field, I have successfully used the insight gained for my analyses to provide reports and effective
recommendations that help and build business processes. Two methods are used during data
analysis are data screening and data verifications. In order to eliminate inaccurate information, it is
critical to use both quantitative and qualitative analyses. For example, I worked in FMCG industry and
analyse an overall territory data based from customer preferences, habits, and backgrounds. I then
provide recommendations on new customer opportunities for them to explore, and as a result,
during the new product launch, it achieved the target handling with 90% of handling. Hence, with
the right data information and screening, it can lead into business success. I would love to use those
skills to provide similar results to the company. As an illustration, aligned with customer focused
aspirations on PLN, in order to enhance customer satisfactions through mobile application, it can be
done by making a survey or gathering information related to factors that can increase customer
satisfactions with their mobile applications.

Collaborative problem solving is a fundamental of innovation. I plan to actively engage in


knowledge sharing initiatives with workmates. Strengthening an environment where various
perspectives are valued, it can lead into gaining or creating innovative ideas, create a culture of
learning, and increase company’s competitive advantage. When it comes a project which requires a
teamwork, since I’m a good listener, I may help the team to get comfortable to each other so it
allows everyone to talk more about their ideas and ensure everyone thoughts are considered before
the decision is made.

Based upon the preponderance evidences, PLN underlies four strategic goals namely
“Green”, “Innovation”, “Customer Focused”, and “Lean” strategic goals to carry out its business
activities. Hence, upon reflection, my contribution plan to PLN be focused on a comprehensive
approach that incorporates:

 Understanding organization’s objectives


 Data-driven insight
 Constant learning development
 Collaborative problem solving

By incorporating these principles, I aspire to enhance the company’s culture, drive


innovation, and eventually contribute to the company’s sustained growth. As I commence on this
journey, I am committed to leave a positive impact on both the company and its workforce.
