What causes land pollution

 People throw rubbish

 Industrial waste pollute the land, rivers and the sea
 We cut down the forests, burn the forests (deforestation) 

 Animals lose their natural habitat  They starve to death  They become
extinct
 Farmers use pesticides and they pollute the soil, the plants and animals die
 Acid rain pollutes and destroys the ecosystem

What can we do to help save the environment

 We shouldn’t litter the streets and the areas around us

 We should recycle (plastic, glass, paper, aluminum)
 We should save energy
 We shouldn’t destroy the forests
 We should ban hunting
 We should protect the endangered species
 We should take part in various organizations such as Greenpeace, WWF and
help save the environment
 We should use environmentally friendly products
 We should encourage organic farming and avoid the use of pesticides
 We should protect national parks and wildlife reserves
 The governments should impose strict laws for the protection of the
environment and the endangered species
 Industries must use special filters to prevent pollution
 We should take part in campaigns to protect the environment
