Please be advised of one of the requirements for a SWP application before the
Bureau of Immigration, to wit:

For Consultant or Specialist position, the applicant must

be at least twenty-five (25) years old and must submit the
following:

a. Certified True Copy of Diploma or Certificate of Completion as

attested by the Human Resource Manager or any officer of the company
authorized by Board Resolution or Special Power of Attorney; (To
prove or establish educational attainment); and

experience or training related to the proposed
position, nature and primary purpose of the company
business).

For regulated professions, the applicant must submit a

Special Temporary Permit (STP) duly issued by the
Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The engineering profession is considered in the Philippines as a regulated one under the PRC.
However, based on our recent verbal inquiry with the BI-Clark and CDC, as long as the job
title/position and job responsibilities of an applicant do not amount to the practice of engineering,
the requirement of securing an STP may not apply.
