Duties
The employee must screen incoming documentation and information from a variety of sources (public counters, NVC, DHS, mail, phone calls, etc.) to organize and track visa
requests according to a relatively complicated set of law and procedures so that the Consular Officer (or other Visa Adjudicating Official) can make decisions and ensure that the
legal requirements of the application have been met. Procedures are standard and policies are clearly defined. Generally, the employee receives work assignments and tasks
according to a standard procedure, and then inputs relevant data into an established process.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements: EXPERIENCE: At least two years providing customer service and/or work applying regulatory material.

Education Requirements: Completion of High school is required

Evaluations: LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:

Good Working Knowledge English is required. (This may be tested)

Good Working Knowledge Spanish is required. (This may be tested)

To meet the English and Spanish language requirement for this position:

You must self-certify your proficiency in the required languages within the ERA application, in the Education and Experience step. If
you meet the requirements for Education and Experience, and you did not submit a Language test score (which is completely optional),
your application will be forwarded to the Hiring Manager. If you are shortlisted by the Hiring Manager, you'll be tested in English and
Spanish to complete your application. If you do not reach the required minimum score in both tests, you will not be able to continue in
the process.

Benefits and Other Info
Benefits:

Agency Benefits: Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Mexico
may receive a compensation package that includes:

1. Private Medical and Life insurance;

2. U.S. and Mexican holidays (20 per year approximately);

3. 17 days of vacation per year starting out. Increases progressively.

4. Affiliation to IMSS, AFORE and INFONAVIT;

5. Opportunities to travel abroad for training, and more.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
