Duration: 12 months

The PG Program in Computational Fluid Dynamics comprises 10 courses that

train you in the intricacies of CFD solver development, GT-POWER, OpenFOAM,
Python, CONVERGE-CFD and Ansys Fluent. On course completion, you will
be a skilled professional eligible for lucrative job opportunities in automotive,
aerospace and mechanical engineering domains.

The curriculum of the program focuses on incompressible and compressible

steady-state simulations, cyclone separators, engineering parameters in
runtime animation and algorithm creation for problem-solving. Each course is
aligned to the requirements of your dream job and the industry standards. For
a hands-on learning experience, the course even incorporates several practice
projects based on real-life scenarios.

1. Advanced CFD Meshing using ANSA

Become proficient in creating high quality mesh for CFD simulations using
ANSA, the industry standard preprocessing tool for CFD

2. Introduction to GUI based CFD using ANSYS Fluent

Learn the industry standard CFD simulation tool - ANSYS Fluent by
simulating Internal/External flows, Aerodynamics, Conjugate Heat
Transfer, and Multiphase flows

3. Introduction to CFD using MATLAB and OpenFOAM

Gain an understanding of the fundamentals of CFD using OpenFOAM and
MATLAB.

4. IC Engine Calibration using GT-POWER and GT-SUITE

Learn IC Engine optimization strategies for performance & efficiency
using the industry leading 1D thermodynamics analysis tool - GT Power

5. Introduction to OpenFOAM Development

Deep-dive into the fundamentals of CFD Solver development using the
C++ framework provided by OpenFOAM, the most popular open-source
CFD toolbox

6. Introduction to Aero-Thermal Simulation

using ANSYS Fluent
Specialise in CFD for Aero-thermal applications by working on areas of
hypersonic flows, thermal CFD flows and aero-acoustics analysis

7. Advanced CFD for IC Engine Applications

using CONVERGE
Use CONVERGE CFD to Perform 3D CFD simulations of combustion
inside IC engines for optimal engine design and analyse the exhaust
gas formations

8. Advanced Aerodynamic Simulations using CONVERGE

Learn aerodynamics concepts applicable to aircrafts and automobiles by
simulating standard aerodynamic CFD problems using CONVERGE CFD

9. Advanced Turbomachinery Simulations using CONVERGE

Learn to perform CFD simulations for turbomachines such as axial
compressors, pumps and turbines using CONVERGE CFD

10. Hybrid Electric Vehicle Simulation Using GT-SUITE

Get hold of the fundamentals of electrification and hybridization of
conventional powertrain systems to keep up with the current
trends of the automotive sector as we move towards
hybrid electric vehicles as our future
