Traditional college admission is a hectic process, which involves students visiting off-site campus, taking application,
filling it and then submission is another hectic story. 0n the day of admission, the flow of candidates is very high and it
requires both manual processing and record keeping at the same time that makes the process lengthy and difficult to
keep track of the admission status of a candidate in multiple departments. At present admission process is done
manually with pen and paper which is very inefficient and utilizes much efforts and time. This college admission
management system helps to make the admission process much easier and helps in maintaining database in an efficient
way. In this system college admin can add the college details and the stream details. We can get the previous year’s cut
off marks for all the streams. College can create the cut off list for the current year and the students are expected to
register on the website and apply for the desired stream. College can register admissions of new students and also
remove the students who denies the admission. College can make 3 list of cut off and the final list of students can be
viewed. There are 2 modules in this system namely admin (college) and user (students). Admin can add college details
and cut off list, they can select students, register and remove students, and can also view the final list of students.
Users (Students) can login and view the college details and cut off marks list of various streams, they can also apply to
the respective college and get notification if they are selected.

The system comprises of 3 major modules with their sub-modules as follows:
⦿ Admin:
› Add College: Admin can add college details

› Add Cut Offs: Admin can add cutoffs of previous years of various stream
› View students: Admin can see the students whoever applied for admission for various stream.
› Create Cut Off List: Admin can create current year 3 cutoff list for every stream.
› Register Students: Admin can register students accepting admission and remove the students who denies from the
cutoff list.
› View final Students List: Admin can view the final selected students list.
⦿ User:
› Register: User need to register to get the credentials.
› Login: User can login using credentials.
› View College details: User can view college details and previous years cutoff list.
› Apply to College: User can fill the form to apply for admission in college
› View Cut Off List: User can view the current years cutoff list of ever stream.
› Selection Notification: User will get the notification of selection if he/she gets selected.

 Description
The waterfall Model is a linear sequential flow. In which progress is seen as flowing steadily downwards (like a
waterfall) through the phases of software implementation. This means that any phase in the development process begins
only if the previous phase is complete. The waterfall approach does not define the process to go back to the previous phase
to handle changes in requirement. The waterfall approach is the earliest approach that was used for software development.

Saves students and college management members time.
Easy to access the system anywhere and anytime.
⦿ Limitation
Requires an active internet connection.
⦿ Application
This application can be used by Education institutions

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

⦿ Back end : php, mysql
⦿ Control end : angular java script

EXISTING SYSTEM
 It provides mobility to the users to access the admission at any time and at any place.
 The Mobile Phone is relatively cheaper than the Computer on the average, so economically it has advantage over that.
 In an environment of poor maintenance culture, Mobile phones are less prone to malfunctioning when compared to Computers
so; Cheaper Maintenance is the next added advantage for any system based on mobile phones.
 The reduction in Paper material being used in traditional method of pen and paper based admission system, thus preserving the
Forests of the world (the small phone can contain hundreds of thousands of pages of books, and written materials).
 It is a Green technology.
 Availability wise also it is preferable, today mobile phone is available to every other person as compared to computer. So, any
institution does not need to incur any extra cost while installing the system.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
The advantages of our system are as follow:

 Better user interface.
 Made access to the record of admission available 24X7.
 Reduced dependency on natural resources for paper.
 Easy generation of summary of admission.
 Make the process of admission a green process.
 Provide communication between teachers and parents.

CONCLUSION
 In this conclusion we have discussed about the problems caused due to the use of traditional approach in
taking the admission and solutions for that through the use of mobile and provide a new approach.
FUTURE ENHANCEMENT
 In Future work, This application to develop a cross platforms like IOS, etc.
 In adding the more features of college admission system to develop access with user’s flexibility.
