Revision

1. Familiarise students with the format of the exam. How are they being
examined in pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing and
listening?

2. Identify gaps in their learning – use review tests from coursebooks for this

3. Give students practice tasks. There are exercises in various workbooks you
can adapt and borrow from. Get students to create exercises to test each
other.

4. Independent writing practice on writeandimprove.com

5. Independent listening practice on BBC 6 minutes English or LyricsTraining

6. Independent reading – encourage students to read for pleasure and build

up to 30-45 minutes a day. They can write a summary of what they have
read in their diary.

7. Encourage your students to set up a revision group or find a study buddy.
