Samsung Experiment on 6G communication

Samsung's demonstration of Terahertz (THz) spectrum for 6G wireless communications, which took
place at a recent workshop at the IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC 2021).
The THz spectrum is a much higher frequency than the 28 GHz or even 39 GHz that are fairly
popular in today's U.S. 5G deployments. This means that it has the potential to deliver much faster
data rates, but it also means that it is more challenging to work with.

Samsung's demonstration showed that it is possible to create a working end-to-end 140 GHz
wireless link using a fully digital beamforming solution. This is a significant milestone in the
development of 6G technology.

Samsung is not the only company working on 6G. Other companies, such as Huawei, Ericsson, and
Nokia, are also investing in 6G research. However, Samsung is one of the leading companies in this
area.

6G is expected to be commercialized around 2030. It is expected to deliver peak data rates 50 times
faster than 5G. Machines will be the main users of 6G, with 500 billion expected to be connected by
the commercialisation target: including vehicles, robots, and home appliances.

Samsung has released a white paper that lays out the Company's vision for securing global
frequency bands for 6G. The paper, titled "6G Spectrum: Expanding the Frontier," discusses ways
to obtain the spectrum needed to achieve the company's 6G vision introduced in a white paper
released earlier in July 2020.

Samsung is committed to taking the lead in the development of 6G technology. The company
believes that 6G will revolutionize the way we live and work.
Architecture of 6 G

As you see that in the above diagram we see that the 6g experiment is much energy efficient and
spectral efficient.
The reliability is not so good , there is increase in user experience, peak data rate, connection
Density and air latency.

As this was just a experiment, the new model of 6g will be better than this.
The news tell that 6g will be fully ready by 2030.
Following are the uses of 6G
• Ultra-fast data speeds:6G is expected to offer peak data rates that are 50
times faster than 5G. This will enable new applications such as
augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and immersive gaming.
• Massive connectivity:6G will be able to support a massive number of
connected devices, including billions of sensors and IoT devices. This will
enable new applications such as smart cities, intelligent transportation
systems, and industrial automation.
• Low latency:6G will have very low latency, which means that data will be
transmitted with very little delay. This will enable new applications such
as real-time autonomous driving and remote surgery.
• Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR):6G could enable new AR
and VR applications that are more immersive and realistic than anything
we have seen before. For example, 6G could enable AR glasses that
overlay digital information on the real world, or VR headsets that create
completely virtual environments.
• Self-driving cars:6G could enable self-driving cars to communicate with
each other and with infrastructure in real time. This would allow them to
coordinate their movements and avoid accidents.
• Smart cities:6G could be used to create smart cities that are more
efficient and livable. For example, 6G could be used to control traffic
lights, adjust the temperature of buildings, and monitor the quality of air
and water.
• Remote surgery:6G could enable remote surgery, which would allow
doctors to perform surgery on patients who are located in remote areas.
• Industrial automation:6G could be used to automate industrial processes,
which would make them more efficient and productive.
