1950s Themed Restaurant Awards Prizes at Grand Opening Celebration


Cafe 50s awards prizes to contest winners at grand opening of Rock Hill location

Popular restaurant chain, Cafe 50s, will hold a grand opening for their new location in Rock Hill on Jan. 9
from 5-11 p.m, with contests and prizes scheduled throughout the evening.
At 6 p.m. there will be a costume contest, in which participants may wear a 1950s-inspired costume to be
judged by the manager and staff followed by an apple pie eating contest at 7 p.m. Winners of the two contests will
be awarded “free dinner” coupons after both contests. The winner of the costume contest will have signature dishes
in the restaurant named after them.
“The contests and the prizes we’re giving out are to bring the community together,” says restaurant owner,
Craig Martin. “We want to bring elements of the past back and keep the spirit of the 50s alive with this restaurant,”
Martin says.
Martin encourages people of all ages to “come out to the opening, win a couple prizes, and have a 25 cent
banana split.”
