Are animals attractions?

In Spain, 700 animals are abandoned each day. The use of animals in tourist
attractions causes harm to animals and promotes unethical practices, it should be
banned worldwide.

It is ironic that numerous tourists who adore animals unintentionally facilitate

animal cruelty. Many tourists go to different countries seeking rare animals but many
of them don’t know how those animals live. The animals are used as attractions to get
money so they live battered because the owner doesn’t spend money on them. The
animals might have been separated from their mothers at an early age and hand-
raised, subjected to severe training, declawed, or had their teeth filed or extracted to
manage their innate behavior. If you want to see exotic animals be sure they live free
in a big area.

Some people buy exotic animals without knowing anything about how they live or
their habitats. Most of them post it on social media encouraging others to do the
same. A lot of exotic animals end up abandoned because they grow too much or
because they are no longer “exotic”. Each animal needs its own habitat and you can’t
make an animal to feel comfortable in your house if it used to live in the rainforest,
for example. The best way to stop this is by stopping the purchases, if there is no
demand there is no business.

To avoid attractions where animals are battered Check if the attraction allows
animals to live in their natural habitats. A lot of attractions simulate the habitat to
trick you. Observe how animals are treated and handled, including their interactions
with trainers and other animals. Avoid attractions that use forceful or abusive
techniques, such as whips, electric prods, or physical punishment. Support
organizations that conduct research and advocacy work to expose and combat animal
cruelty in the tourism industry, such as the World Animal Protection (WAP) or the
Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF).

The worldwide ban of using animals in tourist attractions is necessary as it causes

harm to animals and promotes unethical practices. Remember, the only way to stop
attractions in which animals are used is by stopping going to them. If there is no
demand there is no business.
