MY LIFE HISTORY
On the 26th day of the year 2002, it might be a regular
day for others but for my mother, It was one of the
most memorable days of her life. I was born that day,
my name is Angelo S. Dongon, I am currently 20 turning
21. How far has it been since my first step?, my first
words spoken?, the first time I was able to eat on
my own? - It’s crazy to think that these event
happened a way long time before, but it seemed like
it was only yesterday, and I think that it’s one of
the many things that memories could keep - making
them last forever. In this autobiography, I will be
telling you my story, From me being a kid and now that
I’m a young adult and how I’m currently doing right
now.

My story begins with me being

born, of course, on March 26,
2002,at that time no one knew
what the world had for me, but
one thing’s for sure, it was
truly another milestone for my
mother, Ma. Elsie S, Dongon,
and my father, Sixto D. Dongon.
My mother had me in her 40’s,
and her giving birth to me was
a like a miracle, hence my name,
Angelo, which means “messenger
or “angel”

I went to President Manuel Roxas Memorial

School-South to have my elementary Education, but the
thing is, I didn’t go through the usual Preschool or
Nursery Education, and went straight to Kinder two,
I think it was because I was relatively smarter,
compared to my peers (not to brag). After that I proceeded
to continue elementary at the same school, where I
graduated as a 3rd honorable mention despite not
having joined any extra curricular activities. I
could remember my teacher telling me that no matter
how hard she solved my grades, it was higher than those
who had pages of activities and certificates in their
portfolio, what could say? I was just smarter I guess?
(absolutely not true).

Now moving on to my
secondary education, or
High school life, as the
song “High school life”
goes, “every memory kay
ganda~~” (every memory
is precious) it was truly
a good experience for me.
I had spent my
high-school life at
Capiz National High School, the school was literally
high because it had a very high flight of stairs,
which was also a part of my high-school experience,
having to take those flight stairs everyday for four
years.

Despite having to grow up with a semi-strict household

and my parents always told me to act mature and behave
in a certain way, I always had an easy time finding
friends because I was also told to make as many friends
as you can,so that you have many people to reach out
to when something bad happens but this is not because
my parents told me so, it’s because I really treasure
friendships and the memories
that I spend with them. All in
all, my high school life was
great, I met many people, made
good memories and, had many
firsts.

At the same school, I spent my

Senior High-School days and
which led me to make my choice
to take the STEM strand,
because I wanted to study for
a course related to the
sciences. They say that these
two more years in high School
is a waste and should’ve went
to college instead, but these two years formed my
personality and what person I’ve come to be as of now.

Aside from the seemingly endless workloads, I still

had time, in fact, had more time than ever to explore
the things that a common 17 to 18 year old usually
experience, like going to parties, drinking, and
going out and about the city, going to places I’ve
never been before, and because of that my life as an
SHS student was the peak moments of my life, where I
had the most fun and my friends from this time of my
life are the closest friends I had and up until this
day we still keep in touch and occasionally go out
and spend time catching up with each other —I will
truly cherish those times.

When I thought that SHS was hard,

college life was a different
level of difficulty. I am
currently studying as an
Architecture Student in Capiz
State University-Main Campus. My
first choice of a course was
really architecture, because I
always liked how building where
able to stand and actual people
live in them, not in theory,
that’s why I said to myself that
I wanted to make something like
that too. Having able to go to
college during the pandemic was
a very difficult adjustment
because instead of going to
school, I had to boot up a laptop
and stare at the screen for hours
listening to the professor teaching online class, at
first I really didn’t like the feeling of only having
classes online, but eventually I was able to adjust
accordingly and make It through 2 years of online
class.
Currently, I am doing well
with my 3rd year of studying
architecture, there are many
sleepless nights, many tears,
many frustrations and I know
for a fact that there are
many more to come, but that’s
ok! I know these are a part
of me achieving my dreams and
honing my craft as a student
taking up architecture, I do
believe that I could do this
and will continue to push
through and pursue my
dreams.
