ROOSTY THE TIME KEEPER

The Bible Animals’ point of view

GOODNESS OKEOMA
ROOSTY THE TIME KEEPER
Chapter 1
What a day! Said Roosty the
mekeeper. All I have done
for years is wake people up
from their sleep with my
crow, and I have really
enjoyed it I must say.
But this me it’s a new task.
I have been asked to crow to
remind peter when he lies.
Oh! what a task he sighed
and con nued, I wish I can
stop him from denying
Jesus.
Peter was one of the twelve
disciples of Jesus. Jesus
knew that he would soon
be arrested and nailed to
the cross. He said to peter
“ I am seeing that you will
lie about me three mes
before the rooster crows”.
“Be careful not
to let that
happen”.
Chapter 2
Jesus was arrested and
taken to the high priest.
Roosty went to the court-
yard of the high priest
where Peter was.Peter had
gone there to watch the
high priest ask Jesus
ques ons.
Roosty stayed closely to
watch what Peter would
do.
One of the servant girls of
the high priest asked
Peter, hello Sir, are you a
friend to Jesus? Peter
quickly answered and
said,
No I’m not, and walked
from the courtyard to the
entrance of
the court-
yard.

The servant
girl followed
Peter to the entrance and
told the men around
Peter who he was.
When the men asked him the
same ques on, “are you a
friend to Jesus?”, Peter
denied the second me. This

me Roosty was wai ng for

the third lie to crow.
A er a while those standing
close to Peter said to him, we
are sure you
are a friend to
Jesus! But he
swore to them that he
doesn’t know who Jesus is.
On hearing this Roosty shook
his head and ran to where
Peter would see him, then he
crowed.
Chapter 3
Peter broke down in tears
because he remembered

what Jesus told him,“that

before the Rooster crows
you would deny me three
mes”.
Roosty felt so bad for Jesus
because He was denied by
his very good friend Peter.
I know Peter did this
because he was afraid of
what these people might do
to him, since they didn’t like
Jesus, Roosty thought. But I
s ll think Peter should have
told the truth at all cost.
Chapter 4
Roosty got home that day
exhausted, but because he
wanted his wife and chicks
to learn a lesson, he
gathered them for a family
mee ng.

Chicky! Henly! and fowly! he

called, and asked them to sit
around Him for family me.
What did peter do today?
Fowly asked.
Peter denied Jesus three
mes today, answered
Roosty.
It wasn’t a bad
day a er all, I
learnt a lesson
said Roosty.
Here is the lesson I learnt.
He then began to advise
them; ‘Always tell the truth
at all cost, when you pick on
some one’s grain, tell the
truth. Though I would love
it if you just pick your own
grain.
I may pick a feather off your
skin for taking what does
not belong to you, but that
should not make you hide
the truth from me. It is
be er to have your feathers
picked than to lie and hurt
someone’s feelings,
someone who loves you.
like peter did today.
When we lie we hurt God’s
feelings.
Lesson: TO SPEAK THE
TRUTH AT ALL COSTS.
