THE WORRIED DONNIE
Chapter 1
Donnie the donkey had a lot of friends
growing up, and almost all her friends have
been ridden by humans, as this is every
donkey’s wish.
Weeks passed, months passed, years passed
and no one came for Donnie, who became a
sad donkey.
“I am not good enough, I don’t even think I am
strong enough. Other donkeys are more beautiful
than I am, what a big nose I have. Besides, I am
so hidden in a village where no one can find me
and where everyone has a donkey.
Who will remember me!” She cried. “Does God
really know I am here?”
Donnie became so worried about herself.
Chapter 2
One morning, Donnie’s old-time friend
Colty, came into her stable
with a saddle on her back.
Donnie was excited to see her
friend, but her friend wasn’t
looking happy.
“What’s the matter Colty?”, asked Donnie.
Colty sighed, “The saddle on my back is be-
coming uncomfortable, you are lucky you
don’t have to wear one.”

Then Donnie thought to herself, Here am I

looking for a saddle on my back and someone is
right here complaining about the same saddle.
I think I have to be happy with myself because
there is something different about everyone.
“Just be happy with who you are and
what you have”, Donnie said to Colty.
Donnie went on to tell Colty how sad she
had been with having no one ride her.
We just have to believe that we are all
unique and God has a plan for every one
of us.
“You are right, I think I enjoy the sight-
seeing, the new friends, and the food I eat
whenever my master takes me out,” said
Colty.
Donnie and Colty became happy donkeys
and leaped for joy.

“I have to leave now because my master will

be looking for me”, said Colty.
Chapter 3

One day, two disciples

of Jesus came to
Bethany to search for
a donkey.
Jesus had told them to do so. Jesus said to
them,“Go to the village ahead of you, and as
you enter it, you will find a donkey tied there
which no one has ever ridden.
Untie it and bring it to me and if anyone asks
you, tell him that The Lord needs it”.
The two disciples saw Donnie tied up to a
tree and went straight to untie her. While
they were doing that, the owner asked the
two disciples what they were doing and
why. They told him that Jesus asked for it
and he didn’t stop them.
Donnie was excited and wondered why
Jesus had chosen her.
Chapter 4
When Donnie got to where Jesus was, His
disciples threw their clothes on Donnie’s
back so that Jesus could sit. It was a great
day for Donnie because people were
spreading their coats on the ground for her
to walk on, and she couldn’t contain her joy.
As Jesus was entering Jerusalem, Donnie
thought to her self, God has a perfect plan for
everyone, and at the right time, God makes all
things beautiful.
Chapter 5
It is really good to be happy with who you
are.
It was Donnie’s happiest day ever.
As they entered Jerusalem, people were so
excited to see Jesus. Donnie shouted at the
top of her voice to anyone that could
understand her, I AM UNIQUE!!!
Lesson:
Everyone is unique and different, never wish
to be like others, but always pray that God’s
plan will be done in your life.
