4.1 Navigation and Control Screen

NAVIGATION AND CONTROL SECTION
The screen is broken into two primary areas; the Nav-
igation and Control Section and the Display Section.
The Navigation and Control Section will never go away
and will remain accessible no matter where in the HMI
Software you navigate to. This is because this area of
the screen contains all the needed areas for the User
to control the System and for the System to display cur- DISPLAY SECTION
rent states and alarms. As you navigate from screen to
screen, only the inner display should change.

We’ll start to learn about the Screen Icons by identifying

each one as they appear in each successive screen.
We start first with the icons located in the Navigation
and Control Section. Figure 4.1.1: Screen Sections

of the Screen is the Start Button. This button is used to
energize the Motors of the Bagmaker and to get it ready
to start running. This is also called homing the Bagmak-

machine has been reset, this button will engage when
touched and the Bagmaker will energize all it’s circuits, Not Engaged Engaged

This screen is used solely for machine options that need
Operator Input. The two options are shown here:

cylinder on your system to fire the knife to create the
perf cut. When enabled, the User just enters a count
for the number of bags to be made
into a string and then cut off.

2 2. Bag Grouping: This option is used 1

when you need to make a certain
amount of bags in a group and then
create a gap between the groups for
a Bulk Packing type of job. The first
number is the number per group and
the second is the gap size.

Outputs)
The 3-Series Bagmaker comes preset with the ability to
control up to 6 separate Auxiliary Outputs that you may
want to fire with the normal bag making cycle. Screens
7 and 8 contain those parameters. Auxiliary Outputs 2
and 3 are both fired with an On Degree and stay on with
a Dwell Time Parameter. Auxiliary Outputs 4 and 5 are
both fired On and Off using timing degrees. Auxiliary 1
has the ability to be fired more than once in the bag mak-
ing cycle. This is why there is an A, B, and C option for it.
This is all done using On and Off Degree settings
