Gérard Meunier is a French composer and pianist and director of a music school just outside Pa ris. His Au Crépuscule for nute and piano was
published in 1984 . The piece is basically in the Lydian mode, whh excursi~ns into other mod es, and a whole-tone sca le in bar 8. The slow waltz
accompaniment of the piano part leaves room for some express1ve rubato m, for exam ple, bars 11-1 3.
