Nowadays, if people don't want to deal with something, they

leave it at an unfinished point. Abandoned and unfinished buildings

take up a large chunk of usable land that could have a great purpose
in the community's lives.

The most obvious move would be renovating these old or half-

finished establishments and repurposing them as housing since it would
help create a larger community, with the added benefit of increased
profits for the mayor. These renovated buildings don't have to be
luxury apartments, quite the opposite. Blocks of flats are ideal for
housing a lot of people, and since apartment prices are considerably
lower than those of houses, they can be ideal for a far wider group
of people.

On the contrary, there are some downsides to renovation, the

biggest one being cost. Sometimes the price one would have to pay to
restore these run-down places would be higher than demolishing and
repurposing the area. Some great institutions to start with would be
community clubs or other social places so the community can become
stronger, and the youngsters have places to hang out with people
their age instead of just surfing the web as a full-time career,
breaking the isolation between people and giving them opportunities
to socialize.

All in all, I think that modern society should know that these
pieces of land could be used much better than just sitting around. I
would recommend that the government purchase these properties for
cheap or offer help in renovating them to help improve the town's
image.
