Keraton kasepuhan

Keraton Kasepuhan is a palace located in Kesepuhan village, Lemahwungkuk, Cirebon. Keraton


Kasepuhan is located on an area of 25 hectares and was founded in 1529 AD or has been standing for
approximately 494 years. Keraton Kasepuhan is a building that was formerly called keraton
Pakungwati which was once the center of government of the Sultanate of Cirebon. It functioned as a
palace for the king in the Sultanate of Cirebon.

The palace has a museum that is quite complete and contains heirlooms and paintings of the royal
collection. One of the collections is the Singa Barong carriage which was the chariot of Sunan Gunung
Jati. The interior of the palace consists of a white main building. Inside there is a living room,
bedroom and king's throne.

Keraton Kasepuhan contains two historical building complexes, namely Dalem Agung Pakungwati
which was founded in 1430 by Prince Cakrabuana and the Pakungwati palace complex (now called
the Kasepuhan palace) which was founded by Prince Mas Zainul Arifin in 1529 AD. The purpose of
making this palace is as the center of government and the central of life.

And there are so many areas that can be visited and have an atmosphere with an atmosphere that is
so old school like in the Royal era, including: siti inggil area, langgar agung area, main area and the
main building of the palace. This building can be visited as a tourist facility in this historic place.

The entrance ticket price of Keraton Kasepuhan itself is IDR 10,000 for students, IDR 15,000 for the
public and to enter the museum visitors can add a fee of IDR 15,000. Keraton Kasepuhan operations
start from 08.00 WIB to 17.00 WIB. And usually crowded with visits when the holidays arrive.
