MIRROR, MIRROR, ON THE WALL …


I. Me and my friend.
Write a description of yourself and a friend.
 HELP: coursebook (REMEMBER BOX, p 143, Ex. 2 and 3, p 144)

Example:
I’ve got long, straight hair, but her hair is short and curly. My hair is blonde, but hair is
red. I’m quite short, and Ana is quite tall. I’ve got brown eyes, and ther eyes are blue.
I’m slim, and she is slim too. We both look gorgeous!

II. My hero.
Choose a famous person you like and write what he or she looks like.
 HELP: coursebook (REMEMBER BOX, p 143, Ex. 2 and 3, p 144)

Example:
I like Emma Stone a lot. She is a very good actress. She is pretty and her face is cute.
She is quite tall (1.68 m) and slim. She’s a natural blonde, but she feels most like herself
when she’s reddish-brown. Her eyes are green. What I really like about her is her smile
and her husky voice.

III. Who looks like who in my family?


Compare yourself with someone in your family.
 HELP: coursebook (Ex. 5, p 145)

Example:
My sister and I look alike. We both have fair hair. My hair is straight, but her hair is curly.
We’ve got our father’s eyes. My eyes are blue, and her eyes are blue too. We have the
same cute nose and the same face. We have the same smile too. We look a bit like our
mother and a bit like our father.

IV. What are they like?


Write one true sentence about yourself, your friends, classmates or someone in your
family. Use five of these:

Read the email message from John’s mother to his teacher. Write a similar note from
one of your parents saying why you are not at school.

Make a Wanted Poster. Think of a name for the person.

VIII. This is what I eat.


What is your favourite food? Which foods don’t you like? Write three true sentences
about the food you like, and three sentences about the food you don’t like.

IX. I don’t drink much Cola. I don’t eat many biscuits.

about yourself. Use these words:
