ONE GOAL, ONE SAN LUIS, ONE BETTER ALS

Team work makes the dream work. Aligning the team towards one goal, makes a different.
In line with the Division Memorandum No. 393, s. 2023 entitiled Pinakamahagsay nga
Listahanay sa ALS which aims to improve the literacy mapping activities to track the out-of-
school children, youth, and adults, ALS-San Luis team initiated MAHAGSAY HA BINAGKUSAN
KU PAGLISTAHAY anchored to the said memorandum. Resemblance of good unity as what the
Banwaon term mahagsay (good) and binagkusan (unity) is evident to the activities done by the
team. Kick off activities was participated by different sectors from the town. The Philippine
National Police headed PLT Henry L. Dalit and SFO3 Ernesto G. Calumpang of Bureau of Fire
Protection leads their team in facilitating the motorcade activity. Together with EPS for ALS
Cherryl Juaton the school heads from San Luis, flyers and posters were distributed and posted
to inform the public about the activity. The motorcade became more interesting because of the
jingle composed by the ALS teacher and performed by Cepriano Obita, grade school teacher
from Kalilid ES.
The goal of the team is not to list only the potential learners but also to give back to the
community. Through the donations from the non-government organization- ACCORD, teachers
and school heads of San Luis, and other stakeholders, community pantry was established. The
indigenous people in Don Pedro and Binicalan communities are the beneficiaries of the
community pantry.

Indeed if we work together, we can achieve more. As of today, there are learners who signify
their interest in continuing their education through Alternative Learning System.
