FLAG MAKING CAMPAIGN AND INDEPENDENCE DAY

Every nation has its significant symbols that represent the identity of its
people. Under Presidential Proclamation No. 374 issued declaring May 28 as National
Flag Day to commemorate the national emblem used after the Battle of Alapan in
1898. On May 23, 1994, Executive Order No. 79 was issued extending the period of
celebrating National Flag Day from May 28 to June 12.

Our students actively joined the celebration by putting flags on their houses
to give respect and reverence to our symbol of national sovereignty and solidarity.
The Philippine flag is the embodiment of all our country’s ideals, culture, and
tradition.

2021 NO SMOKING MONTH

The Department of Education has issued DepEd Order No. 070, s.2019 and
pursuant also to Presidential Proclamation No. 183, s.1993 declaring the month of
June every year as National No Smoking Month to intensify the campaign of No
Smoking especially in government offices and to conduct awareness-raising
activities to warn the negative effect of smoking to the public.

Anonas National High School supports the campaign by encouraging the

students to send their outputs as emphasizing the promotion indicating the harmful
effect and nature of tobacco products.

GULAYAN ED KAABUNGAN
The school has been a foundation of skills and learning and is the ideal point
for a project. In line with the launching of the Gulayan Ed Kaabungan Program, it
encourages and promotes the school children to plant green leafy vegetables at
home backyard areas as part of their sharing and implements consumption of
vegetables among their community for a better healthy and balanced diet.

Furthermore, this will teach them how to improve their nutritional status,
learning where food comes from and how planting promotes the beautification of
their surroundings. It also serves as a good stimulating activity in which they will
learn leadership and rendering good service. Planting as one of the livelihood skills
that learners will acquire in school can be applied and replicated in their respected
households.

Pre-Implementation Phase
Teachers In-Charge for the Gulayan Ed Kaabungan Program
inspected the site for planting vegetables last March 12, 2o21

Developmental Phase
With our efforts in supervising our entry, begins to produce vegetables
that we planted.

These are the vegetables that will going to harvest soon.
