Activity Title RECOGNITION RITES

IDENTIFYING INFORMATION

Objectives  To recognize the achievement and
accomplishments of the Grades 7, 8, 9, and
11 students.
 To show appreciation to deserving
stakeholders and acknowledge their
commitment and support for the school
year.
 To recognize and acknowledge the
outstanding performance of teachers.

Activity Description On April 1, 2019, San Sebastian National
High School conducted its Recognition Day 2019
at the Municipal Covered Court, San Sebastian,
Samar hosted by the Grade 11 advisers.
The activity started at exactly 9:00 in the
morning with all teachers and honor students
present with a few parents. As the program
progressed, arrival and attendance of parents
increased. The program started with a prayer led
by Mrs. Soledad M. David and the singing of the
Philippine National Anthem was conducted by
Mrs. Catalina C. Mabutol. The Senior High School
Department Head Mrs. Ma. Joan L. Hembra
delivered her words of welcome emphasizing the
importance of celebrating the achievements of
the students and also the sacrifices of the proud
parents.

After the opening program, the school head


was assisted by the department heads and the
GPTA President Mrs. Ester B. Mabao in awarding
the medals and certificates to performing
students. The students were accompanied by the
parents as they proudly give the medals to their
children as fruits of all their hard work and
perseverance.
The school did not only recognize the
performance of the students but also the teachers
who gave their utmost best for the school Year
2018-2019. The teacher awardees were the

All of the teachers received awards for


outstanding performances as coordinators, club
advisers, and organizers of the different programs
and projects of the school.
The school also acknowledged the
performances of the General PTA Officers for
being able to accomplish two projects: the School
Directory on September and the School
Handwashing Facility this March. Not all officers
were present during the Recognition Rites as
some were parents of Grade 10 and 12 students

with whom the activity was scheduled on April 2,


2019.
The activity was noted as successful as all
objectives of the event was achieved.
Highlights  Awarding of Medals and Certificates to
honor students – This has been the highlight
of the event, the acknowledgement of the
academic performances of the students as
well as giving pride to the parents as they
award the medals to their children.
 Awarding of Certificates of Recognition to
teachers and Certificate of Appreciation to
the stakeholders – The school also devised a
mechanism to recognize the performances
of the teachers for the school year. This was
done to encourage and motivate the
teachers to performing better in the next
school years. The stakeholders were also
acknowledged for their successful
completion of their two significant projects –
the school directory and the school
handwashing facility.
RESULTS
