WALTZ- it was the first-time men and women were seen holding each other “so
closely that their faces touched” (Montaigne, 1580).

FOXTROT- swaying and moving in a smooth and gentle way, malumanay or dahan
dahan lang. (ituturo na ang steps and right hand and feet position)
TANGO- OPEN EMBRACE- where lead and follow have space between their
bodies.
-Rudolf Valentino- made the tango hit in 1921.

STYLES OF TANGO:
ARGENTINE TANGO- close embrace where the lead and follow connected chest-
to-chest.
INTERNATIONAL TANGO- connected in upper thigh or hip area.
AMERICAN TANGO- combination of Argentine and International tango.
CHA-CHA- it is fun, flirtatious and energetic dance with lots of hip movements and
fancy foot work.

RUMBA- yung sayaw na may kwento, unang scene is yung girl muna yung nandun
sa scene/satge/screen tapos lalapit yung boy sa girl kasi finiflirt ni girl si boy pero
at the end of the clip/story irereject naman ni girl yung boy, so bale yung ending
nito is yung boy naman yung nasa huling scene, yung parang broken hearted
something or umiiyak.
SAMBA- ito yung sayaw na sobrang bilis ng mga steps and movement tapos
naiikot nila ang boung place or stage.
QUICKSTEP- from the word quick so sobrang bilis nito, same siya ng foxtrot pero
mas mabilis siya and may mga talon na.
